Venus beats Errani everyday of the week, the #2 seed just lost, Venus could have walked into at least the semi finals, but for her hard head.

At 34 years old with a disease that causes fatigue, playing singles and doubles is plain dumb, hope Serena is smart enough to pull out of the doubles, no one ever is remembered for winning doubles.

In my opinion your observation is not objective .First of all the Syndrome
that affects Venus Williams ,makes it
very difficult for her to entertain any thoughts of winning another Grand Slam Tournament .

A couple of years ago she publicly stated that her main focus was to win
another Tennis Doubles Gold Medal in the Brazilian Olympics in 2016 .

My perspective is that this is a more realistic goal than winning a Grand Slam Tournament . This is why she is
playing Singles to tune up her game in Doubles with Serena .

Obviously this is to ensure that they their goal is to be ranked # 1 in USA
Doubles in 2016 ; so that they will represent the USA in Doubles in 2016 .

In Serena's post court match interview 2 days ago, I saw no real enthusiasm when ask about doubles.
She is doing just for the sister.

I was really disappointed in Venus when Serena came down with a virus and insisted on playing, Venus should have just refused to play, Serena was not in her right mind.

I think Serena or her coach just has to say no to doubles, Venus is the better doubles player, she could have her pick of doubles partners if she so wants to play doubles.

Let me distill it for you . Venus chances of winning the US Doubles
Championship with her sister is a hell of a lot better than attempting to win the US Singles Championship.

Let me again state that it is their desire to Play Tennis in the Brazilian Olympics in the Doubles . Serena did not at the time they stated this offer an opinion on whether she would participate in the Olympic Singles Tournament .

My guess is that if she is healthy she will participate in the Singles Olympics .

Venus is selfish, dude I'm looking at it from Serena's prospective, playing doubles wears her out at 32 years old, it cost Serena a run at the title in the Australian Open when she injured her ankle playing doubles.

Sure Venus best hope is to win doubles, but she should find someone else to play with her, loads of player out there that are much better double players than Serena.
