I bookmarked that thread...just for the fun of it.

The proposition here is: Chanderpaul will never get these runs...
...and the justification for this assertion is: because he will not be allowed to get there.
The conclusion is: this is a fait accompli... no way will Chanderpaul get these runs.
Courtesy says:
This is a most dangerous and highly irresponsible remark even if this were to be the case as a result of a craftily planned agenda.
WOW!!!...it never ceases to amaze me.
Proof that we live in a crab barrel economy.

getting closer

Well, if Chanderpaul is retired before he gets it, it is guaranteed that the conspiracy will be rife.
Question: Would it still be seen as conspiracy or clearly proven to be true.

He don't deserve that record. Disgraceful

Why?

The only thing that can stop him is death. If he injured or unfit he will still play and once he continues to play he will get there... eventually
WICB(c) ain't got the balls to drop he
Shiv approaching or passing that aggregate takes away nothing from Lara, unless he does it in less or even a similar amount of innings. That ship has sailed, even schoolchildren know that..
Why should anyone be upset?? This is no dispute to Lara's superiority as a batsman..If anything Shiv passing Lara would only serve to enhance and put in perspective and further add value to Lara's contribution and the way he went about the business of batting.
He never looked fugly,he never jook and prod whole day..he was either making runs,or getting out trying to.
We agree that despite having played a score and more,Shiv is still behind Lara.
We agree that Lara was much better to watch and much more stylish, more aggressive and scaled heights Shiv could only dream of.
We agree it's like comparing chalk and cheese.
So by all means goooo Shiv, keep on jookin to another n.o,this could never bother a real fan,or a realist for that matter...or anyone with an iota of common sense and rationale..
This whole thing is just a shit stirring tool and a sorta desperate mechanism for validation and false security.

Well as you know, the opposite of what this woman generally predicts on this MB has a high frequency of happening.
Shiv sez to tell she that he does it longer and gets stronger at whatever IT is.
Someone start working on the lyrics for a song.

I don't know why people waste time making those comparison. Ponting name is hardly ever mentioned alongside Lara and Tendulkar.
this is not about comparing Shiv and Lara...this is about an irresponsible comment made by a certain poster that Shiv will never break Lara record of most test runs by a west indian because the powers that be will not let it happen.
just so the thread does not get lost in the mumbo jumbo
