There have been several times when a boxing title changed hands as a result of 1-punch knockout.
For the purpose of this question only, we're looking for a signature left hook. Identify 3 of these instances where one left hook has effected a change in title holders. Name the combatants, the weight class, & the winner.

BOXING TRIVIA QUESTION
In reply to SirGarny
Tyson vs. Tubbs
Morrison vs. Ruddock
Duran vs. Hearns
In reply to Dan_De_Lyan
Remember the requirements of the question...
1) a title must have changed hands as a result and
2) it must be a 1-punch knockout and
3) the punch must be a left hook
Tyson retained his title and Ruddock Vs Morrisson..the IBC Title was vacant...
Duran Vs Hearns was a straight right wasn't it?
In reply to Dan_De_Lyan
The 3 that come to mind...one in the 50's, 60's and one in the 80's
CMON peeps.....
In reply to SirGarny
Tyson Vs Berbick is one?
In reply to SirGarny
Ok...here's the answer...
Marciano knocked out Walcott
Frazier knocked out Ellis
McCallum knocked out Curry
....
In reply to WestDem
Finally......Berbick went down 3 times off the one left hook.....
But there are two famous ones...........CMON folks
In reply to SirGarny
Foreman Frazier
Lewis McCall
In reply to Elsie
I was waiting for that one....bwoy ...what a pretty left hook!! Curry went down with a BANG!!
BUT...McAllum retained his Jr. Middleweight title...the title didn't change hands so that answer is incorrect!
Frazier VS Ellis was a unification bout so the title technically didn't change hands...but Ellis was no longer a champion after the fight so I guess that's an acceptable answer.
Marciano VS Walcott...met only 2 of the three requirements.
1) a change in title holder
2) 1 punch knockout
but it was a right that floored Walcott and not the left hook....
Try again

2) Floyd Patterson vs Ingemar Jonansson ....2nd fight
In reply to Toney
2) Floyd Patterson vs Ingemar Jonansson ....2nd fight
Classic one punch knockout with a left hook. Johansen was so stunned by the blow, he lay on his back with his arms outstretched and his gloves never touched the canvas! patterson regained the title he lost the year before.
Well done Toney!
But there's at least one more left hook that may be more famous than these....
In reply to SirGarny
I remembered watching the highlights of that bout when I was a youngster in Bim. Floyd Patterson had a really devastating left hook, it was legendary.
In reply to SirGarny Ali v Liston?
In reply to camos
No...remember Liston never answered the bell for the 6th or 7th round...one of them...
the answer is..............................
In reply to Toney
joe Lewis vs Max Schmeling ....2nd fight
Incorrect on all 3 requirements...
Those were all strong right hands that destroyed Schmeling...
Louis retained his title
Was done in combinations...not one punch

Are u looking for a Sugar Ray Robinson left hook
Sugar Ray Robinson-Ko of Gene Fulmer -Middleweight
Bob Foster ko Dick Tiger-light heavy
Patterson ko Johanssen-heavy
In reply to ychs67
Yes sir! Called by many boxing experts "the perfect punch"... after the fighters were separated by a break, Fullmer dropped his guards just enough for Sugar Ray to unleash a textbook left hook, landing on the exposed chin.....BOOM!
That single punch ended the fight and Robinson re-gained the Middleweight title he lost to Fullmer just months before.
Well done Reader and YCHS67
I'm searching for the Bob Foster / Dick Tiger tape on youtube...
