In reply to silver... since you put it like that ... many more are a burden, yet you not interested in them retiring.

If Gayle is a burden-hopefully not a Beast of Burden-we should demand more like him because, despite his struggles, he has still managed to score more runs and take more wickets(and at a better average)at this WC than many of those who are supposed to be 'allrounders'!

Is that the standard by which Gayle is judged now?
How the mighty have fallen! twisted

Gayle is likely to put his IPL commitments above playing against England, since he is not contracted to the WICB, but may wish to feature against Australia after playing a full season for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Well.....

Do you think Gayle is a burden? rolleyes

When other notables are not contributing we hear nonsense about the 'intangibles' and 'vibes' that are contributing.

By that standard, Gayle, in spite of his struggles, has contributed more than some. Moreover, Gayle has played throughout with an injury and is not guaranteed a game for 3 years so they can always drop him if they think they can do better without him!! twisted

If I were Gayle's advisor, I would tell him to retire and leave their cricket alone instead of being constantly maligned by a set of ingrates!

All these jokers are a set of agenda-driven people with a vendetta against certain players based on their passports.

Why wait till after the world cup?

WICFan 2015-03-05 11:33:40

He'll retire from tests, I can see him retiring from all Internationals after the next T/20 World Cup.
