Christians: Jesus will return Tuesday 6/30/2015

excalibur 2015-06-29 08:06:31

Well Jesus is not returning but the Star of Bethlehem returns on Tuesday after over 2000 years. Now this is the same Star that led the three wise men to the baby Jesus.

Roman Emperor Constantine converted to Christianity but he chose a Pagon holiday to celebrate the birthday of Jesus, 25th December. Jesus was born on the 17th June, very easy to trace the birth of Jesus by this astronomical Star of Bethlehem.

Viewing will commence at 10 pm Tuesday and will be visible for two hours, should be the biggest and brightest star ever seen, after over 2000 years, here comes the Jesus Star again.

The MSM will direct the public on where to look, this time the Star comes to the New World and will not be seen in the Old World, sorry Jerusalem.

Christmas should not be celebrated on December 25 - but on June 17 instead.
Researchers tracked the appearance of the 'Christmas star', which the Bible states three wise men followed to find Jesus.

A Superior Conjunction of Venus and Jupiter, the two largest bodies in our night sky, except for the Moon, just like 2000 years ago at the birth of Jesus.

Sky & Telescope Contributing Editor Fred Schaaf brings up a very interesting point: this current trio of Venus-Jupiter conjunctions closely resembles a similar series in 3-2 BC that has been suggested as the Star of Bethlehem.

I feel sorry for these folks who WAIT on deliverance...remember the people in Japan waiting on Haley's comet???

Only 2 years ago one of my bible-thumping bredda gave a way all his earthly possessions because he said the world was coming to an end. So me ask the fella...if the world coming to an end what the rass the people you giving these things to will do with it. All of us would be dead...the poor chap was embarrassed when the prescribed time came and went. Poor souls.

Good brother Dukes: You obviously don't know who THIS "excalibur" is. He is a very important contributor here. (if you are into "the moon is a hollow spaceship")

It is not an induced state via the good weed or beverage. Something a little more systemic.

Please refer to DSM IV and give the man a break.

Moonman, Tolduso, MoonBitch, stallion and now "excalibur" are all part of 300.14

You'll have to admit that he said that he'll return and the man has never been wrong once, hmmmmm.

The biggest mistake made in arguing the existence of god is to rely on the bible which is faith based, arguing faith to an atheist by using the bible to shore up one's argument is useless. Also atheist use the words of the bible to argue their points, both atheist and men of god are wrong to use the bible, they are both wrong for one cannot use the bible to argue the existence of god.

-Study modern astronomy, then and only then can one argue the existence of god. At least men of faith have the bible, but atheist have nothing if they don't argue astronomy, the biggest contradiction is that atheist use their own faith to argue against religious faith, not very smart people.

How does astronomy help one argue for the existence of God?

When you realize that the planets are talking to each other and transferring information, when you consider that the sun is talking to other suns in Alpha Centauri and also suns light year away, then you ask yourself why to suns light years away and we thought only plants and animals converse. Then there is non-linear travel which most Theoretical physicist support, you'll say hmmm.

Closer to home there is the double helix, hmmmm.

The circumstances surrounding the miracle birth of Jesues, the Christ, has nothing to do with the question of the existence of God, at least not what this thread is about.

Right you are, this is really about an astronomical event that took place 2000 years ago at the birth of Jesus and will again take place tomorrow, Tuesday. Something everyone should try to view with the naked eye, not wait for this historic occasion to be seen on TV.

Hi Sir / Madam:

Can you provide the details on how we may witness this miraculous event in North America? Time and location, please. Assume we're in Canada.

I've been watching the sky the past two nights - Venus is easy to spot as it's pretty bright, and the past two evenings you can just make out another object close by, which should be Jupiter.

In Bermuda, I see it around 8:30-9:30 local time, looking westward. I wish I had a telescope to really get close.

you got it bro, what else can I tell you, the two will merger. It should be about 10 pm EDST, don't need a telescope, the two will come 1/2 a degree from each other.

Bro, I aint understand one thing wha yuh write deh and I don't see how any of it explains the existence of a higher power/powers, God for the sake of simplicity. Please make a better effort and break it down in layman's language for folks like me.

If it matters any to the discussion, note that I personally believe in a higher power, accept that I have no logical basis for my beliefs, and have scant regard for religion.

It is well known that Jesus was not born on 12/25th.

Jesus never celebrated or asked any of his disciples to celebrate his birthday. Just another celebration adopted from pagan beliefs in an attempt to water down Christianity and appeal to pagans so the apostate Church could gain Political control.

Also....if the Star originated with God, why would it lead the men to Herod? Who sought to kill Jesus?

So last night I took my five year old out to tell him about Venus and Jupiter. He already knows about planets, which is cool (well this whole Pluto back and forth thing is probably going to mess him up, heh).

I point out Venus and Jupiter, cool. It's slightly overcast so not the best of skies to view. Then he turns and says, 'That's Mars over there,'.

I look over.

'That's the light from someone's house.' smile

Use Stellarium, it will show you the sky you're observing and what planets are there, even plug dates in that will show you past skies or future. When I was a little older than you son, my dad was showing us the sky, our big thing was the Big Dipper.

The bright star was Venus, the second bright star was Jupiter. Last night they came together in spectacular fashion, on separation they looked like a cross, best thing I've ever seen in the night sky outside of a full moon.

It did not. Herod heard about them and called them.

They came from the East. Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Jerusalem is SW of Bethlehem. The star led them first to Herod....where he summoned them to a private meeting.

Astrology is forbidden in the scriptures.

Deuteronomy 18:10-12
10 There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire,+ anyone who employs divination,+ anyone practicing magic,+ anyone who looks for omens,+ a sorcerer,+ 11 anyone binding others with a spell, anyone who consults a spirit medium+ or a fortune-teller,+ or anyone who inquires of the dead.+ 12 For whoever does these things is detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable practices Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you.

2 Thessalonians 2:9
9 But the lawless one’s presence is by the operation of Satan+ with every powerful work and lying signs and wonders*+

They came from the far eastern regions of Pathia where a lot of the House of Israel were in exile no where near Bethlehem. The "star" was not one in the true sense but a guiding light but in those days dem, all lights above were some sort of "star", np star can come and directly hover over any place.
big grin
Is like the term chariots of fire in the sky seen in visions of the last days, those guys never saw jet fighters so visions of such were described the best they could based on then knowledge. Jet fighters spew fire from gheir engines and guns.
Descriptions are symbolic and not all "will interpret" if they take the words literally.

Did the good book say the star led them to Herod? Or did they just make a wrong turn thinking that Herod and the prince was of royal household? Herod only started to destroy after he felt threatened by the long awaited prophecy-that would undo his kingdom. He learned of this from the magi's visit.
Stars in those biblical terms are angels celestial radiant beings such as "1/3:stars rose" up to fight or the book talks of "stars singing praises" or Lucifer "the bright morning star"

The magi lived in the eastern regions do thats where they observed it like people in China would see it and travel following its lead. Wise men from the east.
Question how many were they, 3 or unknown. big grin

Ayenmol 2015-07-01 23:38:32

Matthew 2:1-12
2 After Jesus had been born in Bethʹle·hem+ of Ju·deʹa in the days of Herod*+ the king, look! astrologers* from the East came to Jerusalem, 2 saying: “Where is the one born king of the Jews?+ For we saw his star when we were in the East, and we have come to do obeisance* to him.” 3 At hearing this, King Herod was agitated, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 On gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Christ* was to be born. 5 They said to him: “In Bethʹle·hem+ of Ju·deʹa, for this is how it has been written through the prophet: 6 ‘And you, O Bethʹle·hem of the land of Judah, are by no means the most insignificant city among the governors of Judah, for out of you will come a governing one, who will shepherd my people Israel.’”+
7 Then Herod secretly summoned the astrologers and carefully ascertained from them the time of the star’s appearing. 8 When sending them to Bethʹle·hem, he said: “Go make a careful search for the young child, and when you have found him, report back to me so that I too may go and do obeisance to him.” 9 After they had heard the king, they went their way, and look! the star they had seen when they were in the East+ went ahead of them until it came to a stop above where the young child was. 10 On seeing the star, they rejoiced with great joy. 11 And when they went into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and falling down, they did obeisance* to him. They also opened their treasures and presented him with gifts—gold and frankincense and myrrh. 12 However, because they were given divine warning in a dream+ not to return to Herod, they departed for their country by another way.

Am not surprised that amid proof from the scriptures that even Jehovah himself condemned the use of astrology you all still are clining to traditions of men,

Sad really.
Matthew 15:1-9
15 Then there came to Jesus from Jerusalem Pharisees and scribes,+ saying: 2 “Why do your disciples overstep the tradition of the men of former times? For example, they do not wash* their hands when about to eat a meal.”+
3 In reply he said to them: “Why do you overstep the commandment of God because of your tradition?+ 4 For example, God said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’+ and, ‘Let the one who speaks abusively of* his father or mother be put to death.’+ 5 But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother: “Whatever I have that could benefit you is a gift dedicated to God,”+ 6 he need not honor his father at all.’ So you have made the word of God invalid because of your tradition.+ 7 You hypocrites, Isaiah aptly prophesied about you when he said:+ 8 ‘This people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far removed from me. 9 It is in vain that they keep worshipping me, for they teach commands of men as doctrines.’

Isaiah 29:13
13 Jehovah says: “This people approaches me with their mouth
And they honor me with their lips,+
But their heart is far removed from me;
And their fear of me is based on commands of men that they have been taught.

So anyone seeking to worship God based on truth would question the origin of this "divine" sign.

John 8:31, 32
31 Then Jesus went on to say to the Jews who had believed him: “If you remain in my word, you are really my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth,+ and the truth will set you free.

Worship based on truth...God`s standards cannot be watered down with falsehoods and be acceptable to him.

1 Corinthians 2:12
12 Now we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit that is from God,+ so that we might know the things that have been kindly given us by God.
