Kuk was touted as one of this generation's WI cricketers that liked to learn and worked very hard on his game.
I remember Rahul Dravid's last series in the Caribbean where much was made of Kuk sitting close and listening keenly to everything Dravid had to say.
I say this because with that sort of attitude, you would think he is one that puts in the work.
Pro sport is a fickle thing tho. Since that wretched England tour, he hasn't quite found himself except for a brief period against Sri Lanka A in 2013 and the subsequent regional FC competition in 2014.
