awwww
Similarly, the proportion of people in America whod be fine with a military government has leapt from one in 16 in 1995 to one in six by 2015. But when you look at young and affluent people, its gone up from 6 percent to 36 percent thats a sixfold increase.
But the most worrying sign in the United States, argues Mounk, is simply the complete erosion of democratic norms in the political system.

Voter participation has gone down in a lot of countries, people are less and less satisfied with particular governments, they no longer trust politicians, approval ratings for Congress, parliaments, and so on, are very, very low.
That seems to be true across the board.

But America isnt a democracy.
Its a constitutional republic.
The person who got the majority of votes in this election is not President for that exact same reason.

You all should Watch Requirem of an American Dream - Naom Chomsky.
Democracy, what Democracy? Democracy bought and paid for by the elites.

Wall Street - art mimics reality
No truer words have ever been said - In a movie: "You're not stupid enough to think we are living in a democracy buddy".

Well I do not think there is a right way to govern as it comes down to different strokes for different folks.
To me life is like shopping.
A store allows you to make purchases using the following facilities:
Credit Cards
Cash
Layaway
Some people cannot responsibly manage their own money so they give it to the store piece by piece while that store holds the item until you clear the balance.
At the end of the day it is about the culture of the people and the expectations. Barbadians expect to be able to go to any beach in Barbados and no government will be able to sell them on privatizing beaches. I do not believe Jamaicans have a problem with private beaches.
The most important thing is for governance to work well.

There is a way to govern, whatever the system of governance, people should be treated with dignity, respect and live freely, as long as you're not breaking the laws or violating someone else's rights.
