PCL Captains Dissing Fast Bowlers.

OK so Windwards won the match today and am happy because it's my team.

However I concluded that Captain Sebastian was locked into the mindset that only the spinners could deliver a victory because:

Mayers got 2 wickets early, and and is known to swing the old ball but, was only given about 7 overs total and none in the middle of the innings! Why?

Johnson and Matthew are know wicket takers but each only bowled around the same amount as Mayers. A sum total of about 21 overs for the 3 fast bowlers.

The spinners though, must have bowled in excess of 40 overs between them (this is a guess from watching the match, no hard research done but u get the point).
One could argue that it was the 4th innings where spinners rule but, did anyone see fearsome turn and bounce from Shillingford and Sebo?

From casual observation and from reading the scorecards, I believe that the other captains are following a similar trend of being locked into the spinners. This leaves our fast bowlers underworked and undervalued.

Captians and administrators take, note this trend has got to change. Because it is part of the reasons why our fast men are not as lethal as they used to be. Give them more work and and have faith in their ability to sustain the fearsome tradition..
