However, of late, this alpha cricketer has been tagged with a number of unflattering headlines such as “Andre Russell faces possible ban,” “West Indies’ Andre Russell misses third drug test in a year,” “Russell continues to struggle in BBL,” and “Russell’s black bat banned by Cricket Australia.”

In the meantime, Russell has failed to fire in his three outings for his team Sydney Thunder in the Australia Big Bash League.

These Aussies always seem to write on the negatives associated with West Indians. Now that their favorite target, Gayle, has been chased from the BBL, it's Russell's turn.

Who next, Pollard, Bravo, Smith?

Russel seem rather puffed up to me – it’s like he is trying to overdo things – helter-skelter ---- there is no smooth confidence to his game ---- he could certainly learn something from Gayle or even Samuel Badree who comes across as a balanced person/player --- missing 3 drug tests could account for some of Russell’s comportment --- what was great about many of the yesteryear WI players was their unflappable smooth confidence, Uncontrived naturally smooth swagger.

I buy into the reinvention bit by Ponting. At the same time, Russell's confidence is taking a beating!

JDF and West Indies 'A' representative Reynard Leveridge made strong a claim to be included in his first regional limited overs squad after bagging 5-27 to lead Chadwick Walton's X1 to a 20 run win over David Bernard Junior's X1 in a Jamaica Scorpions practice game on Thursday at Sabina Park.

I don't think Lev into that rubbish of denigrating the symbolic salute

after 3 years of super success, 3 match failures require a reinvention?

Russell, epitome of the Cricket Mercenary, as the French Foreign Legion was to war.
