I am so angry! Benn is in that squad and Derrick Bishop doesn't even get a call up even as a net bowler

Something is seriously wrong why they are not giving this man a chance.

He is 33 years old.

For the last decade this man has been performing but nobody at the BCA will give him a call.

He played for UWI but never made it past that.

rasta nuh eat a food?

The key factor in this Barbados fourteen is the role of Carlos Brathwaite and Jason Holder....they are no power hitters in this team and those two roles of allrounders MUST be expected to shine.

THey have not done anything with bat and ball for WI in ODIs in a big way and they need to start showing it at this level bearing in mind they are blocking out Cummins and Greaves on the outside from making the team.

analyst-kid 2017-01-07 20:41:03

Jason and Carlos must be expected to carry Barbados to and beyond the par score of 250 at this level and restrict the opposition teams to under this par score.

Benn last year was the leading spin bowler in this List A format and bowling on his home ground he will prove if he still has it or is a has been.

Roach has to show if he is still a force in WI cricket.

This is a very pivotal series for this Barbados selected squad.....real questions to be answered.

Do you realized we have Primus, Reifer and Mayers, who are Bajans?
Cummins cannot bat, and Greaves bats better than he can bowl, give thanks man.

The only guys from that team that was on the radar were two wicketkeepers, Payne and SLP partner, lately a number of guys a moving to St. P.
How come you did not encourage him to move to Cave Hill?

Great B'dos team, at least on paper!

That is just wrong to have to move to get a pick.

That is almost like Trinis crying a long river when they say if you don't play for Queen's Park you are dead. And that is the thing, in T&T most of the raw talent and passion comes from south and central but it is the Queen's Park players (Darren Bravo, Dwayne Bravo, Pollard, Narine, Brian Lara, Derrick Murray, Larry Gomes, Stallmeyer, Merv Dillon etc) seems to be the ones that get favoured for calls

Similar with Guyanese and Berbice/Georgetown

Give thanks? All I was doing was assessing this team's chance of winning the tournament.

The batting will be consistent and the bowling will be thereabouts but Carlos and Jason's positions could make or break the team.
