What was Obama supposed to do?
In reply to nick2020
Wasn't he the "hope and change" president?
In reply to Darkness
Beyond inspiration what could Obama do?
Make ghettos a thing of the past?
Reduce the number of minorities in prison?
Eliminate racism?

so what's your answer; he failed Blacks?

There is a great show on Netflix.
I encourage everyone to watch it. It is called "13th" (for the 13th Amendment).
On that show, I recall seeing African American men holding signs up saying "I am a man", in response to police brutality and treatment from LEOs. And this was in the 60s! Fast forward 50+ years later and the same still applies, except the message is slightly different "Black Lives Matter".
Same message, bro.
WTF does Obama have to do with this?
In reply to DukeStreet
As president he could have created a "hands off blacks" policy. That is, regardless of what they are doing police should leave them alone and not intervene.
I would agree that he failed blacks in this regard. Too much of them died or were brutalised by police under his watch

just for you sir!
Our hope and change candidate fell short time and time again. Obama cheerleaders who refused to make him accountable bear some responsibility

you right wing nuts talk out of both sides of your mouth!
Obama failed to legislate; but at the same time you object to investigations regarding police behavior . So what would be the purpose of new laws when existing ones are not being observed?

Again, what does this have to do with Obama? It comes down to police training, tactics and centralized processes. You folks don't get it, do you?
In reply to Darkness
He did a whole lot more for black folks than any of the previous 4 presidents. Stop pigeonholing his accomplishments.
