The one camera no commentary concept

What a great invention ... only in the West Indies

All other cricket playing nations should take a page out of WI books and follow suit

I say one more term for DAVE!!!!! smile

Barbados has Saturday Division One cricket on radio with commentators at every match.

Why can't the non Barbados matches have commentary?

ALL the Saturday guys could have pitched in an hour and at least we have commentary on the video...the technology/payment can't be much!

They're giving the perspective of someone actually in attendance, in a fixed position.

Ok, it would help to have radio commentary so that the 'attendee' could opt to listen while watching.

good point Kid. i cant see why some smart people cant have a team of potential commentators ready to use the silent feed to hone their skills asking for feedback from the public. this would enhance their skills and provide an outlet for audience/viewer interaction

In this discussion we might have stumbled on something here. Put a subscription price tag of $6.99 to $9.99 ( or even cheaper!) and they have financing. People accessing it on their tablets/cell phones/desktops/laptops/big monitor screens. The developing commentators would be given an honorarium.

I'm sure they are many WI cricket fans abroad and other cricket fans worldwide who would pay to see Division One cricket/Four Day cricket/Super 50 cricket in Barbados in this format and by extension the West Indies.

We getting there soon man. Rome was not built in a day...

By next year we will have some commentary added (if Dave get re-elected) and the following year a second camera will be added (if Dave gets in again) smile

So now that we have (oral) commentary, will the one camera (fixed position) view be acceptable?

As alluded by my earlier post, I'm quite satisfied with the viewing perspective of someone actually in attendance.
