For Saturday's match, Lara is expecting the public in Barataria and the surrounding San Juan and Morvant communities to support the venture.
And he is also promising to introduce a young batting talent in the person of 13-year-old Barbadian, Jacob Bethel.
People say that I batted like that when I was 13, well I hope I did because he's just an awesome little youth and you'll get an opportunity to see him.

I've been following the youngster for about 2-3 years, he was on Mason's show last year.
Arthur Bethel is his grandfather, he is at Franklyn Sephenson academy.
These youngsters have been travelling to England and South Africa with the academy.
BTW, I am hoping either Keith Holder or Pelon get me a list of his tons, like was done for Kraigg.
Here is a lists of his batting and bowling from matches played,
Jacob Bethel

We have been saying that he plays a lot like a young Lara for a while now. He has all the attributes to be a good player...a little small at this stage, but when he puts on a little height and size, he will be devastating.

His father Graeme went school with me at Harrison College...a very good batsman.

None of them played cricket, but went to HC, Harrel and I were Morris boys, he just got hold of me after many years, and Carlos is a Holders Hill boy, in his early thirties.

Good...keep us updated like you did for KB.
I saw the 14 year old Lara bat live...sheer genius even at that young age....and he was a tiny little fella...all who saw him even at that age just knew he was going to be a great batsman.
Looks like Lara has taken him under his wings.
Is he left handed or right handed?

Here is an article from the list I posted
All eyes will be on the tournaments leading run-scorer Jacob Bethel from Franklyn Stephen Academy. The tiny, 12-year-old left-hander has amassed a healthy 405 runs, including one century and three half-centuries at the outstanding average of 202.50. Bethell is the grandson of former Pickwick and Barbados captain and left-hand all-rounder Arthur Bethell, and the son of Graham Bethell, a former Combined Schools, Barbados Under-19 team and Pickwick player, known for his attacking batting.
I must give the BCA credit for what happening in Barbados cricket, the young boys and girls have weekly training at the Centre for Excellence, Barbados Cricket Supplies Under-13 for the U-13 tournaments and the many schools coaches for the work they are doing
The future look good
