Preparing a track that turns from ball one....

....v/s NZ/RSA/England preparing a green track which seams from ball one.

Are these equal things? I often see that argument being used as a defense when sides touring India can't cope with the spin.

I'm all for using home advantage by the way, and I think India and NZ have used it well at home in the past few months.

Food for thought.

A turning pitch can and usually does only get worse, so if it plays like day 5 on day 1, imagine what's to follow.

A seaming pitch does not often seam as much on day 5 as it did on couple days.
