If he can't open when we're chasing a big score?
Assuming you field first 50% of the time, and we concede a big score quite often, that's a good portion of the games where he cannot open.

What's the Point of Playing KB in ODIs
In reply to CricketLuva4
What about Powell and Lewis so far?
In reply to CricketLuva4
Better to play him than six and out Powell.
In reply to mikesiva... that is why we have to play him.

Powell and Lewis have failed, but even when KB succeed the team will fail because his approach benefits the opponent!

I'm all for KB playing in ODIs, but he must open all the time.
Shows the confidence they have in him if he has to be shunted down the minute we're asked to score quicker than normal.
These CCC peeps like men that play shots that
can't bat for 15mins.
Now you see why allyuh should STFU about anyone selected.
This is a young team, if you cannot score ton at the Regional level, it will be difficult to score even fifty at the International level.
In reply to openning... so why pick a young team that struggling to score runs at dung heap???
[???] denotes rhetorical.
the batsman problem is strike rate and you will improve that by let bat lower?

bish say to bat long
The WICB should have kept senior players including Samuels, Bravos and others in this ODI squad.
Now it is going to take time for this team to gain experience.

No need to cuss or get offended. This thread is not attacking Kraigg or the idea of Kraigg being in the ODI setting.
This is a thread against the idea of dropping a guy down the order whenever we need to score fast. You pick a guy for his role, let him play it.
This is a young inexperience team, we either return to Gayle, Samuels, DB and Narine, or stick with most of these youngsters.
The guys I will include in the next squad are Cornwall, LittleB, Taylor to assist Joseph and Hosein
