From early indications, India have gambled in this Test. They might have replaced Kohli, a batsman, with a left-arm wristspinner. That is not what Australia must have expected. Is this the ace India had been holding up their sleeve for a situation just like this? Remember Australia were not that great against Sandakan in Sri Lanka last year. Also I have watched Kuldeep closely in nets; his wrong'un is hard to pick

0.1

Kumar to Warner, FOUR, dropped by Nair first ball. A poor shot first ball. This ball is swinging from the hand, early swing, and he still pushes at him. Gets a thick edge, to the left of Nair at third slip. He dives, and gets only his thumb on this. Nair up in his stance too early

1.4

Yadav to Renshaw, OUT, bowled him but he was lbw before he was bowled. An uncharacteristic shot from Renshaw. Umesh has pegged him back with short deliveries, and has now bowled the perfect pitched-up outswinger, which swings back for Renshaw. He plays an expansive-looking drive instead of defending, and it sneaks back to miss the inside edge, hit him in front, and the ricochet into the wicket

MT Renshaw b Yadav 1

aus 10-1

DREAMERS,

AUSTRALIA CAN FEEL REASONABLY COMFORTABLE WITH THEIR SCORE 0F 300!

350-375 WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER BUT THIS WICKET SEEMS TO HAVE A BIT MORE LIFE THAN THE PREVIOUS ONES IN THIS SERIES THUS FAR!!!

INDIA ARE A BATSMAN SHORT AND CUMMINS WILL BE A HANDFUL!!!

ONCE HE SMELLS BLOOD HE CAN RUN THROUGH A BATTING LINE-UP IN VERY QUICK ORDER!!!

SECOND DAY SHOULD BE VERY INTERESTING INDEED!!!

OH RA$$!!!

FUNNY AS FCUK!!!!

HA!HA!HA!

I just love this line...

51.3 Ashwin to Wade, SIX, down the wicket again, makes room this time, and lofts this over cover for a six. Wade playing to the plan. Defend till nine-down and then hit

Poor batting by Australia in the second innings will cost them the series.
200 would have given them a chance.

Got to give India credit for their bowling...and their fielding also.

Their quick bowlers dented Australia....who would have thunk it!

And can e call India flat track bullies, with all the bounce and turn on this pitch. Also, given that they lost the toss...you must applaud their execution.

Funny how this mb goes quiet when India is on top, and then they are defeated....well the chorus of threads celebrating their demise is deafening.

Good work Rahane!

6.5

Hazlewood to Vijay, no run, this is a bigger shout, and this has definitely hit him in line. Not given again. Maybe the inside edge. That is what has saved him here. Big inside edge. Vijay a little casual this morning. This has nipped back in from a crack
6.4

Hazlewood to Vijay, no run, big big low shout. Hear two sounds, and even if it is pad first, the impact must be outside. Not given. Not reviewed. Replays show pad first, but he is outside the line

india 19-0
