Wow. Didn't see the match but that has to be an epic upset. UConn, essentially *is* the gold standard of women's college hoops where there's no clear rival for the throne.

seeing that the other team was ranked in the top 10, I wouldn't say epic....after all, you didn't expect them to keep winning forever

Heh... it sure seemed that way. 111 games covers 3 plus seasons. There are players at UConn that had not once known the sensation of losing, imagine that.
But yeah you're right, it's not Villanova '85. Mississippi St by all accounts are a very good side.
