Confidence is a hell of a thing , and these days NO One is more confident than Roger Federer on the Men's Pro Tour .

Federer may not have the hardest serve , he however places the ball
very well , and he is proving to all &
Sundry thathis Backhand strokes aint any thing to sneeze about .

HIs victory over Berdych was achieved by being astute , he challenged to calls , with the full knowledge that he would not win those challenges .

However he did that to eat up time ,
and thereby caused Berdych to get
anxious , which Berdych did serving
double faults .

Djokovic was supremely confident
until , his domestic problem , he has
yet to recover from that episode . I
like Djokovich , but he has not yet
attained the level he had prior to his
problem .

For the Record , I am an unabashed
Federer Fan . In tennis , having the
hardest serve , like Kyrigos , can only a Player so far , their are other
components that are equally important to win Tennis matches .
carry

His victory over Berdych was due to a massive choke job by Berdych. Roger himself said as much

I felt so sorry for Berdych. Just like my boy Monfils a few years ago at the US open....he had Fed to hang. Fed had all but conceded....but of course...he never concedes.....those guys never do. You still got to earn it

But the fact that Berdych ended the match on a double fault that landed near the forkane baseline is all you need to know about his mental state at the time.

A win there could have done so much for his confidence. Now...I'm unsure that he'll ever recover. He has the physical tools to be a top 3 player....but apparently not the mental game.

Berdych best days are behind him. A regular top 10 player but never had what it took to push into the top 5
