There was a discussion this morning about cutting taxes being Trump's next move.

Just heard an economic adviser to Trump answer the following question:

Question: If taxes were cut for Corporations and Businesses would that help consumers in the form of lower purchase prices since they pass on any any and all costs down to consumers anyway?

Answer: The business of reducing Taxes on Corporations is not to cut prices at the register, but rather to make the economy more vibrant and competitive.

Rebuttal: Then what is the point if it is not going to help consumers? Why not let them pay their fair share of taxes?

Answer: PIVOT! PIVOT!.

How many here agree with the economist?

It will work only if these companies reinvest the proceeds of the tax cut in the USA to create more jobs. They can also buy more raw material or hire new staff to increase their production as well as invest in new equipment to increase their productivity. They may also invest in research.

If this is what he means by "making the economy more vibrant..."

Reinvesting is the key to this.

Cutting taxes on businesses is not going to result in lower prices for consumers. You might see it happening with food or petroleum products but that is because of glut in the market.

It is in my opinion asinine to reduce
taxes for the wealthy people , in the USA . In fact in my opinion they should pay more Taxes .

The Infrastructure of the USA everyone agrees is very bad . Airports ; Roads ; Trains & Railroads & Bridges .

For a Country that loves to boast
about its Weath & Economy , what
I have mentioned above is disgraceful .

President Obama was saddled for 6 freaking years with a Republican
Senate & House whose mission was to derail everything He proposed .

He gave Christy money to upgrade
the rail System from New Jersey
to NYC , Christy took the money and
did not upgrade the rail System .

I have been living in America for a
long time ; and I can state without
any disagreement this Fact :

NO PRESIDENT IN AMERICA HAS

BEEN TREATED WITH AS MUCH

DISDAIN & CONTEMPT AS

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA .

Obviously the fact that he was an
African American did not help him .
It is this strategy why WE are now
saddled with a man whose attention span is awful ; and is
clearly ignorant regarding how the
American System of Government works .

This is precisely why Trump & Co
are making monumental mistakes.
Trump & Co are mainly concerned
with enriching themselves ,most of
the people around him are Russian
Sympathizers or friends of Russian
sympathizers .

Frankly my take is that Putin has
some how blackmailed Trump to
doing his bidding . So when people
state that Trump is Putin's Puppet
I am of the opinion that is true .

Most people on here are too intellectually lazy to listen to NPR with all dem pointy headed PhD people waxing lyrical bout all dem fancy economic theories.
