Is this blatant theft of tax payers money?

What could they possibly put into this aircraft to make it cost 2 billion dollars?

$640.00 Toilet seats and 200 dollar hammers

We know they rip us off with the cheap stuff, why wouldn't they do it with the expensive aircrafts?

Research and development is calculated in unit cost,not just the material cost of the item..

But of course there would still be a big % for corruption and kick backs etc..

a lot of published figures are false, inflated to hide spending on secret projects!

I took R&D into account, that should affect the initial cost of an item but the cost never goes down on military items. The big companies like Lockheed and Boeing have strange holds on defense contracting.

That might be true but there's no doubt that the prices are artificially inflated. Because the Military is so dependent on these companies for big projects, they allow them to get away with murder.
