Our premier WI batsman seems to have dropped out of sight and mind. Thoughts?

Darren Bravo
In reply to Runs
He's warming bench in the IPL i think.
Needs to get back on the WI team pronto. Can we engage Mr Gonsalves or some smart diplomat to resolve the issues?
In reply to Runs
Yuh think DC gives a rat's arse about what they think about WI cricket...they are juss making noise around election time!!!

To much controversy for a guy
In reply to Runs
His own PM GROWLEY...only growling so far...and talking bout cricket hijackers
Who's advising Mr Bravo? I think he's too good a test player to wander off to the 'hit and giggle' stuff.
In reply to sunfish
Yep
Guess it's too much for him to say, 'poupah DC, meh sorry sah'.....
Now I thought darren Bravo was alleged to have breached his contract by comments about the wicb president....as a result in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement he should be called to give an explanation to the disciplinary tribunal. If found guilty he could be banned.
Or did someone unilaterally ban him without hearing contrary to good industrial relations practice.? If so that person would be a big idiot.
Saner heads and minds have to prevail and solve this fiasco. It is immature and embarrassing.
Former Jamaican PM Ms Portia has more balls than growley (tm Narper)
she went to bat for Gayle.
This Growley is a bag of hot air .
The President of the T&TCB hiding in some hole in Moruga.
Man I can't wait till Dinas takes over .
Look I understand us clamouting for DB's return. But what about DB and being a professional?
Rass man the buck has to stop somewhere.
He is needed indeed. But does he not realize his import?
In reply to Runs
U encourageing ppl to waste a thought?
In reply to matchstick
Expound
In reply to Runs Let's see....N as of late, matchy likes being enigmatic!
In reply to Runs
Good riddance.
In reply to Runs
Why waste thoughts on someone who clearly doesn't want to be part of the setup? As far as I'm concerned Darren Bravo is in international retirement.
In reply to CricketLuva4
Ok, wish he would make a public statement.
In reply to Runs
Darren has to take ownership of this situation. A little humility and diplomacy can go a long way. I did not agree with Cameroon statement about bravo, but Bravo's response was way overboard. He has more to lose than Cameroon. But maybe he just not interested.
In reply to number09
Is it up to him to start the disciplinary process?
Can he decide the appropriate penalty?
Has he offended God so that he must ask to be banned!?
Y'all must learn not to use the word 'premiere' when dealing with modern day West Indian batsmen. There is nothing premiere about Bravo.
In reply to doublecentury
Darren please cut short your bench-warming and come home, we desperately need you in WI top order, work things out with WICB, consider yourself blessed as they have never held out the Olive branch to any other player. Come Home Bro!
In reply to runout
cant agree with you. Any infraction of the law or rules, to include MURDER has set penalties. how can the WICB justify this extended punishment of Darren Bravo. Even Messi was banned for 4 games so no one is above any sport. but the penalty was specific not enduring for eternity. We seem to be punishing our players to the point of extinction because of our egos.
So what if our players have egos, at the end of the day, punishment has to fit the crime. Bravo did something wrong so he has to face a tribunal and he has to be punished. Punishment cannot be excessive!
In reply to sandman
Seems like Bravo and WICB are on the far corner of opposites. My contention is that there is enough blame to go around here. I have no horse in this race.
In reply to runout
It needs to be resolved and not allowed to drag on.
In reply to runout
I agree. However, the player does not control that. There must be due process. I dont agree with the suggestions of some that he (bravo) must apologize and get on with it. That is like telling a person who has committed a crime to apologize to the victim and move on. No. He must face some form of tribunal. The punishment must be a deterrent to bravo and others. then we move on. The solution cannot be to just do nothing and leave him to thaw out. Wrong.
I am also yet to see the president being sanctioned for his comments towards Gayle either.
In reply to sandman
The president to which you refer has been given yet another two-year term, unopposed, his 3rd consecutively. How much more punishment do you want meted out to him?
In reply to sandman
Me either, but I think a public announcement of his intentions to continue to play for WI (in the future) is due. More to satisfy our curiosity than anything.

Lil B
I know u read this forum
You do ya own thing man, stand ya ground till Dinas wins the T&TCB
Then watch the lawsuits.
Do not apologize to the big Ediot.
Hang in Bro T&T with ya .
[b]In reply to Drapsey[t
its not punishment if he wants it.
In reply to sgtdjones
Time is not infinite, the best and most productive years of his professional career may be lost.
In reply to sandman
The penalty is specific in Bravo's case too.... apologise and let's move on. Bravo is the one dragging this out to eternity
In reply to Runs
In 8 weeks the T&TCB situation will be solved.
Dinas will win.
The Big Ediot will notice immediately the new T&TCB Administration
The fun will start .
In reply to Kay
Where is the evidence to show the above.
The President was clueless and quoted what was not true.I don't believe a word that Cameron says.
Why didn't he know of Bravo's retainer and classification before opening his mouth?
Why should lil B apologize?
Dinas coming for his rass soon.
In reply to Kay
Total nonsense...there is a process that must be followed ...it has not been
.
In a fit of pique the big idiot has issued a ban without due process....he needs to be removed. Bravo needs a hearing and a punishment.
Cameron should not have the power to issue a life ban unilaterally because of a rude tweet and no apology.
In reply to doublecentury
what process....whose process?
WICB is a private registered company.
Bravo is still being paid to do what he loves
None of the others who have abandoned WICB cricket are worse off for it.
He will also play in the CPL.
I'm sure his older brother and their teams are connected enough to get Lil B into 2 more IPLs.
He will have earned more than representing WI alone.
The WICB need Bravo, their product is worse off because of his absence. He's doing better without them
In reply to Runs
Exactly bro. Time and tide waits for no one.
This salient point is often overlooked when decisions are being made, both personally and professionally. Like the way you think.
good Luck to him full of promise and yet not ready to deliver. Too much time spent West indies move on.
In reply to runout
Thanks bro
In reply to number09
Well said ..Bravo! . His response was way overboard!
In reply to doublecentury
Very well said! This is the point.
Bravo's case represents everything that is wrong about the WICB.
Unfortunately it two wrongs dont make a right and Bravo has jeopadized his career as well as robbed WI fans of his talent whilst wearing the maroon cap.
In reply to sgtdjones
Dinas is no god fadda! HE cyan do shit!
wasnt Bravo the one pulling out of the team every time he was selected to play under Sammy?
he needs to grow up.
In reply to googley
Ask Sars and Shiv about Dinas.
Man u no nutting
Just stay outa we buziness
ya scared lilB will take a muddie spot huh ?

No thoughts about Cameron , erroneously stating that Bravo had an A- level contract , which was not
true .
THE FACT THAT CAMERON DID
NOT KNOW WHAT LEVEL
CONTRACT DARREN BRAVO HAD
WHEN CAMERON STATED THAT
BRAVO HAD AN A-LEVEL
CONTRACT REINFORCES AND
AMPLY DEMONSTRATES THAT
THE PEOPLE IN THE WICBC ARE
CLUELESS REGARDING BEING
GOOD STEWARDS OF CRICKET IN
THE REGION .
It is very important for people in
this Forum to remember that Bravo's remarks were prompted
by Cameron publicly stating that
Bravo had an A-level Contract .
In essence Bravo's remarks were
prompted by Cameron's stating that
Bravo had an A-Level Contract .
Bravo can claim that he was incensed by the fact that Cameron
publicly lied regarding what type
of Contract that Bravo had .
THE ONOUS WAS ON CAMERON
TO BE FULLY INFORMED
REGARDING WHAT LEVEL
CONTRACT BRAVO HAD ; BEFORE
SPEAKING .
In reply to DIEHARD
Actually they are no better or worse. Win a Test in a series lose the rest. Some tons scored by others sparodically so no big innings build up from one Test to another. Whats the difference?
Bravo is as similar to the others hos game has numerous holes considering his shotless onside disability, his fear stricken feet to offspin etc etc. Bravo has a nice coverdrive and soso squaredrive for a lefty and thats about it. On a good day he will score some against top notch bowling but thats every other how many matches?
In reply to POINT
It's like an employer doesn't know
how much his employees are being made.
Dunce suits him.
Bro DB is the one who is hurting. He is wasting away. That is not what a talented guy like him should be doing at this stage of his career.
I agree Cameron was at fault. But in this scenario, there are contributory over reaction from both sides.
In reply to Ridge
The fact is that Cameron , by not
knowing the type of Contract Bravo
had , stated something that was
untrue .
Now it is up to conjecture whether
this was a Machavelian tactic that he employed to anger Bravo .
Bravo took the bait , and by calling
Cameron a Big Idiot , presented Cameron with an excuse to Ban Bravo .
My perspective is that Cameron is
the person who spawned this matter ; that being the case , both
Cameron & Bravo need to apologise
to each other .
The problem however , as I see it
Cameron believes that it is unthinkable that HE in his exalted
position as the Emperor of the
WICBC , should apologise to an employee of the WICBC .
In reply to POINT
He is been offered an Olive Branch by WICB and it's mutually beneficial for both parties to come to an agreement towards resolution of the impass. WI cricket needs him, as the team needs a stellar batsman at the top of the order, conversely he needs WI cricket to forward his career.
In reply to Slipfeeler
Show me a player who has had a career playing for the West Indies till retirement without a fight.I don't recall a player being honored for his services as they do in Australia.
The ones that have been successful, played elsewhere to earn funds for retirement.
WICB discards you at will.
