Windies players not professional enough

To be world class players

Apart from Roston Chase who seems to be doing everything right, the rest are pretty ordinary and cannit be counted on to improve dramatically unless the WICB and coaching staff put in serious time with them.

World Class Players improve continuously. They very quickly identify their weaknesses and train rigoursly to correct it. They are thinkers of the game, they know their history and they are always looking to WIN.

Shannon Gabriel has improved as a bowler but after surviving and needing to see out one ball....... ???

Shai Hope has one significant score this series. Looks good but........

Brathwaite - no food movement

Dowrich - has regressed when he should be improving.

Hopefully Stuart Law can mentoring them to a winning culture. The WICB needs to spend some money and have the core team (16 to 20 players) going through a 4 weeks camp before the next tour.

Physical, technical and mental abilities needs to be honed.

Roston Chase is the Player of the Match for his combative century. Very kind of him to pose for a selfie after such a heartbreaking loss. "All that was going through my mind was to be there till the end and save the Test. A hundred didn't matter," he says. "I just told the tailenders to trust their defence. Well, Shannon will learn. Hopefully if he gets into a situation like that, he'll choose a better shot. Can't blame him, we fought as a team. I had a good series, but as you see it wasn't good enough. Hopefully we can be on the winning side next time."

Utter rubbish from Chase. Of course Gabriel is to be blamed for a stupid shot.

Taking responsibility when you do wrong and working hard to correct it is the first step to ensuring success

I think the spirit of what Chase may be saying is that it should not have come down to Gabriel. That said, I do see your point.

Chase is correct. Shannon is number 11. Are you going to go back and call out the other stupid ahots played by the top orderbatsmen?

Chase clearly does not want to castigate Shannon in public. Quite sensible.

Why are you defending brainless cricketers?

For your argument to be logical you must take the circumstances and the state of the game into consideration.

Do you think any other cricketer from any other test playing country would have done what Shannon Gabriel did? Some cricketers are just brainless and are unable to think about the game situation.

Azari Joseph is another brainless cricketer. The over before he was caught behind, he offered up a big swipe instead of thinking about the game situation.

I am sorry but brainless people should not be playing cricket at test level.

I am defending Chase's comments
