TTCB, NLC working on compromise
The T&T Cricket Board (TTCB) and the National League Committee (NLC) are working to come to a compromise over amendments to the TTCBs constitution dealing with its annual elections.
Attorneys representing both parties were yesterday expected to make submissions in the judicial review lawsuit brought against the TTCB by the NLC last year challenging the constitutionality of the TTCBs election rules.
However, when the case was called in the Port-of-Spain High Court yesterday, they informed Justice Carol Gobin that they needed additional time to hold discussions on a possible settlement which may negate the need for the determination of the lawsuit.
The case was adjourned to June 14, when the attorneys will give Gobin a status update of their negotiations and how they wish to proceed with the case.
