So Fuzzy, a question for you....

seeing that I'm a "fu#king moron" because I believe that Federer is the greatest male Tennis player of all time, not just because of the fact that he's the all-time leader in Grand Slam titles, but also due to his immense popularity, likeability, attractive style of play, and the fact that he's probably the greatest ambassador of the sport.

Can you please tell me who you rate as the greatest male tennis player of all time?

I only asked you if Serena is not the female GOAT using your criteria that most of her wins were against weak opponents if that same criteria didnt apply to Fed

You asked me nothing of the sort. I'm not debating whether Serena is the GOAT, but a very strong case can be put forth in favour of Martina Navratilova. Steffi Graf as well, seeing that both she and Martina played against great tennis players.

Federer came along when Sampras was still able to win a Grand Slam and Agassi was a top ranked player, despite his age. Yes, granted Federer's first few Grand Slams came by beating guys like Phillipoussis, Hewitt, Baghdatis, Safin, blah blah blah.

Then came Nadal, Djoker, and Murray. All of whom are significantly younger than Federer, in tennis terms.

Nadal was giving Federer problems before he was anywhere close to being an adult. Their first meeting was in the finals of Miami back when it was a best of five. Nadal stormed out to a 2-set lead but Federer eventually weathered the storm to win in 5.

Fed had a better head-to-head vs Djoker when Novak was younger, but still a top 5 player, and Novak has had the better of Fed ever since Fed turned 30. Federer has still been able to beat Novak when Djoker was at his absolute best(2011 French Open semis, 2012 Wimbledon Semis).

To me, Murray is a non-factor so I'm not going to get into their history.

While Federer's record vs Nadal isn't pretty, the head-to-head is only in Nadal's favour because of all the ass whoopings Fed took on clay. Outside of clay, I'm pretty sure Federer has the superior record.

As I said on the the other thread, he's had to beat a player from the big four on at least nine occasions when he's gone on to win a slam. If we throw Wawrinka in there, it will be more. And while Stan isn't as consistent as Murray, Stan is far more lethal.

The flaw in your argument is that you can't even put forth a name to challenge Federer's title as the greatest of all time. You want someone there by default because of a few blemishes on Federer's resume.

No one will think that it's preposterous to say that a solid argument can be made on behalf of Graf or Navratilova being the greatest.
