This year gives one a real idea of the parity that exists and has existed in the womens game for years
There's Serena
DAYLIGHT
and then the rest.
Any of these ladies in the quarters....except Rybarikova....can win this tournament.
And this is not a diss against the womens game. They're all tremendous athletes and very skilled. It just shows how GREAT Serena is.

Chrissy pointed out on a thread that's now archived that the weak serves of the two French Open finalists would be slaughtered by Williams, and she was pounced upon by the Indian brigade.
On that thread I highlighted the weaknesses in the second serve of both Ostapenko and Halep.
