That really perplexes me, but in retrospect it shouldnt. This support is not an overnight happening anymore than the Rene Descartes geometric coordinates was an overnight phenomenon. Both were/are an ontological thought process of a segment of their respective societies/era.

I think Republicans are waiting for the FBI investigation to conclude, so they can remove Trump and make Pence the President.
Trump is going to have a tough time with tax cuts also.
