not even close, in pure terms he was probably the best bowler , he was not as good a batsman or fielder as Botham, Kapil or Imran who could all make their team as a top 5 batsman. Hadlee would be batting at 7
Imran was the best captain of the lot and the quickest
Which leaves me with Kapil and Botham
What Kapil did for Indian cricket is incalculable
This is hard to admit but Botham gets the nod as the best all rounder of that era,he had good pace swung the ball prodigiously moved it both ways and off the seam,was outstanding in the slips and delivered with the bat with awesome power

I don't disagree, but if you include everything, including team chemistry and leadership, Imran gets the nod.

Hadlee was the best bowler among the 4 and arguably the best bowler of that era..431 wickets in 86 tests,a series win in Australia with 33 wickets in 3 tests, speak volumes..

Wasn't WI Collis King around at this set time n how did he fare amongst them? As a lil bwoy, I do remember reading in the newspapers that he was a badjohn (good all rounder)!?

Collis was a batsman who could bowl a bit but his bowling was ordinary. Imo he was a better bat than all of dem except Botham.
