This is such a despicable act.
Anyone else think they should be shot at by law enforcement?

People looting during huricane
In reply to Kay
Why not arrest them?
In reply to Kay
Shot at with what? Rubber bullets? Yes. Live ammo? No. Loss of life can never compensate for loss of material goods.
In reply to Priapus
I saw on the news this morning that in fact many of the looters in FLA, who were caught on video, were arrested by police.
In reply to SnoopDog
Great News.
I got a WhatsApp message with photos of escaped convicts in Saint Maarten. Let's hope they are all recaptured soon.
In reply to Priapus
I don't think they can get two far. St Maarten is just made up of two Blocks, one Dutch, one French.
In reply to Kay
Where and what are they taking?
If it's food or non-alcoholic drinks and they have none, I'm OK with it. If it's TVs and cell phones, arrest them.
Allyuh too careless re human life and shooting.

It's so easy to catch them, just offer a crime stopper reward of $1000.00 and one of their friends will turn them in.
You see dem deh? Not surprising they are the looters, maybe they will boil the sneakers and drink de broth! Totally sickening and fcuking cheap!
In reply to Kay
do you feel the same when Columbus looted from the Indians or when phone and cable providers add $10.00 to a million people bills for the purpose of defrauding them.
In reply to Kay

In reply to methodic
Of course not - shoot di poor people - leff di price gougers.
In reply to Kay
Dat is known as larceny - never knew the sentence was death without a trial.
Man KYS!
In reply to Chrissy
I thought you of all persons would jump to defend this sickening shyte... oh well. They are on camera with their barefacedness fully exposed, what trial you want?
In reply to methodic
Show me the video evidence and I may see it your way too....
In reply to Kay
Perfect chance to arm and deploy killer drones.
In reply to Chrissy
the people that will steal the most from these storms wouldn't be seen on tv.
In reply to methodic
Many are those who built and sold homes in river beds and swamps.
Mi nuh support stupid looting but I don't know how I'd behave in those circumstances and I've never once shoplifted.
What I don't sanction is state murder for looting.
In reply to Chrissy
I agree
In reply to methodic
some people will make real money from the relief aid sent to those countries!
In reply to Kay
In many past instances it was not uncommon for looters to be shot on sight.
The rationale being that in order to bring back order all resources need to be
maximized. Looters disrupt that order where a few would seek to take much more
than they need to the disadvantage of others. Looting would escalate leading to
murders, violence , robberies, home invasions in the search for more and more
....in short, survival of the fittest.
It was always felt that looting had to be nipped in the bud to prevent escalation.
THus the common phrase...looters will be shot on sight!.
A look at St Marteens and the runaway looting highlights the point.
From food..to shoes...to house on river bed
Senile ole wit@@ bit@@
The house blown away with the storm? U say
But they have their car to load up shoes?
Will urself to ur pupa jesus
The looting in Miami where a group of men pull up in a van, break a shoe store window, raid it of brands only - then potentially 4 weeks later sell on the black market is not about storm survival.
Post storm searching for basic needs like food and clothing - even going in a 7-Eleven for milk and water is on a different level of need to a new pair of Air Jordans. Looters that seek to profit in this way are AS bad, or worse than the retailers that gouge. Wrong is wrong.
Now seeking basic survival needs... different
