What to expect: A night game in the middle of September at England's northern most international venue was always unlikely to be baking hot and the forecast is duly chilly with some potential showers.
The pitch should offer something for the seamers and it may not be the batting paradise that teams often encounter in T20 cricket.

The last time England and Windies met in a T20 was in Kolkata in April 2016.
Then, Carlos Brathwaite struck four consecutive sixes off Ben Stokes' final over to lead the men from the Caribbean to an unlikely World T20 victory.
Brathwaite is now captain of Windies and will lead his team in a rather less pressurised game against England on Saturday

Tom Curran to Lewis, SIX, now airy. Too straight. The bat flicks take over. This time refusing to keep it along the ground. Over and flying over mid-wicket
5.2
Tom Curran to Lewis, FOUR, on the legs. And the only swing your getting here is that off the bat. A flick, all bottom handed and very fine for the backward square leg to be interested. He tries, chases, dives - why?

Gayle run out...slowly ambling in
6.3
Plunkett to Gayle, out Gayle Run Out!! Gayle refuses to dive. And England's past Karma, from some other life has come to their rescue. The only way he could've got out here - his laziness with the running. Starts off with a square dab to point, finds the fielder and for some reason, only known to him, decides to take on a quickie. Gives up half way, the throw isn't direct either. Plunkett has the time to gather and take off the bails too. There's hardly a stretch too.
The only way Gayle run out (Roy/Plunkett) 40(21) [4s-3 6s-4]

Shamelessly lazy running. This will cost the Windies. Samuels is more of an anchor who launches after taking 30 odd balls to get 'in'. Those 30 balls would have gotten an extra 40 runs from Gayle instead.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Sunil Narine
Narine: It was a total team effort. Very difficult in these conditions as a spinner. Hopefully we can continue this in the ODI series. Still working on it. Hoping to get back as close as I was before the remodeled action. We have a lot of new faces who play a lot of T20 cricket and know their games. It was probably 15 runs short. Performing for your country is the best thing, well above IPL. I'm flying home.
