Clear run out missed...opportunity at both ends
0.5
Holder to Hales, 1 run, that'd have been curtains for Bairstow had Kyle Hope found the target at the keeper's end. Even if the keeper had collected it and taken off the bails, Bairstow would have been a goner. That's not the case and the Yorkie survives. It was an outswinger from a good length, Hales defends it to the right of the backward point fielder off the outside half of the bat. They go for a single - which wasn't on to be honest. Kyle missed the target by a few inches

Jerome Taylor to Hales, FOUR, to long off

1.5
Jerome Taylor to Hales, FOUR, four more! Taylor shortens his length, but provides width outside off for the batsman to free his arms. Hales stays back in his crease and solidly punches it through point.

Drapsey 2017-09-21 07:41:18

Oh Lawd, why do we make Taylor bowl!

13:12 Local Time, 12:12 GMT, 17:42 IST: With the resumption just minutes away, the heavens have opened up again. The rain seems to be heavier this time. The covers are back on and the wait continues.

In reply to Narper... mussi. I am now hoping the rain turns this into a 20 overs affair.

I'm also crossing my fingers for a 20-20 affair....

The weather report is looking pretty grim, though. I think we'll be lucky to get a chance to complete this match.
