They had to trade Melo if they want to become serious about winning again, he was not good for the new chemistry of the team. Melo was never a good fit in NY, he was a 6'8" Steph Marbury.

it's not like they were going to win anything with him

knicks should have done that a long time ago. He is the reason nicks have not done well in the playoffs.

"the"man in a team sport never works.

It's not really a good fit for OKC either, but I suppose it gets the Thunder from a #5 to a #4 seed. Their matches against the Rockets will be entertaining, for sure.

Not saying he;'s the greatest but for a guy who can still be legitimately an all star you basically gave him away. I mean at least get a first round pick out of the guy

I think its a bad pick up for OKC cause I think George bolts to another team next season. But for now should be entertaining

About time!

The good news I suppose for the Knicks is that the yoke's been lifted and they can start afresh.

Lucky for them there are a lot of bad teams in the East to compete against. Of course that means the run for the #1 pick next season could be rough big grin

They really need to get rid of Phil.

That was done earlier in the summer, although I think Dolan's still on the hook for two years' worth of salary.
