In reply to sgtdjones
you really believe that?
come on.. mate..
bravo shud go kolpak
In reply to oldcar
he can go wherever he wants, just not Windies cricket
In reply to allan
Right..cos there is a great wealth of talent in these islands.
You must be Dave Cameron.
What you should be sayig is..how can we fix his attitude..cos we need the option to select him, or to put pressure on the incumbents to perform.
Sides do best when there is competition for places..why would you not want all your best players available..what is your end game?
In reply to allan
I wont believe that until I hear or read it from him Allan
Too much repairing of bruised psyches has taken place over the past year or so...
surely this cant be accurate and this is just your opinion.
please reach out and provide evidence.
I am sincere here...no facetiousness or sarcasm intended
In reply to DIEHARD
at what cost to the team for having Darren Bravo and his attitude.
He behaves like he is a world class talent ( Brian Lara or Sir Viv) he is not.. For world class talent you are willing to make great sacrifices not for Mr Bravo (his lack of humility will be infectious in this group, a bad apple)
Evin Lewis if he were available he would be in the team/squad.. THATS TALENT WE NEED AND RIGHT ATTITUDE
In reply to allan
I agree in principle...but by all means..
Do you know this as fact that his attitude has resulted in him being "ignored"?
One would have thought that ZIMBABWE would be a good welcome back, get your rhythm back tour for him.
ah mean if you have some inside info...just place the cards.
it is what it is.

Don't make me laugh.. His attitude is the root of all his problems (he think he is better than what he really is)
In reply to allan
I do know that he has been accused of reacting poorly ...in the past.. Sammy issue..and then Cameron.
That was the past.
A sign of maturity and patience was last seen when he and Cameron "patched up".
Therefore... when I read that he is selected to be a part of preparations...and yes given his talent the natural expectation is that he would be a part of the upcoming tour.
Your claim is that his Attitude STILL sucks or HE has reacted poorly to instruction...
or guidance from Admin or the coach...
I am simply asking you to show the evidence and not remain in that time zone of the past year.
surely someone is big enough to confirm your " theory" and make it fact.
I have no issue with a coach or selectors publicly admitting that a player or players are required to "address their mental approach"
sorry for the lengthy response.
In reply to powen001
there has been no change in his general attitude towards his teammates or cricket administration.. no tweeting but his bigger than all attitude still remains
In reply to allan
ok Thanks..
I dont doubt you was just hoping that it was or has become "known"
No one else has challenged you so I suspect you may indeed be accurate.

Try not to debate anyone, who live a perfect life, because we know that person, lives in fantasy land.

I haven't heard of him having a disciplinary problem, but he made a statement about 2 years ago that I found disturbing. He was being interviewed and he said we have guys coming in the team averaging 25 in first class cricket, and that should not happen. Chandrika I believe fits that description although he didn't name him. While I agree with the statement in isolation, that's distasteful comingg from a teammate I think.

I take it that the administration has done a wonderful job and showed leadership hence the superior ratings of the West Indies team. Do not fix the core issue as it is easier looking for scapegoats to your ills.

This thread is about darren bravo.. the misgivings of the board is well known and you free to start a thread about that
In reply to jballer84
Do you know where I can find the interview? Would love to read it.

Why don't you use the vigor and say no more WICB, No more Cameron- who is worse and who is more destructive to WI cricket? Bravo or Cameron/WICBC?
The problem is too many people go only after players, today its Bravo, Last year it was Sammy, next year it may be Hope and 10 years ago it was Lara. BUT never do you see these same people go after the Camerons and the WICBC.
In reply to Emir...well I have been anti-board from day one and still anti-board today. Players with infractions are to face a disciplinary committee, not the whim and fancy of the Prez or CEO.
No point debating with people who claim to be in the know but hide under false names.
Dave Cameron gas done most of the damage and as a result players are discarded from bad attitude....including Gayle, russellnarine, ramming ,pollard,Bravo,Bravo, Sammy!
What is the cause of the bad attitude? Bad leadership?
In reply to doublecentury
all true
and yet regional members have put him back in place time after time.
What are we missing?

West Indies Cricket??????
What is this that......
I would say its a patient on life support, wide open IV, prognosis grim.....

Very Well Stated , YOU are absolutely correct . I seriously doubt that many
here fully understood the Darren Bravo
Episode .
That is because they are Boot Lickers
of Cameron & the Board . On several
occasions I have explained in detail
that the Board was wrong .
Punishing Bravo without according him
a Hearing is pure unadulterated B.S .
Especially since the Person who was
factually in error was not Bravo but Cameron .
HE publicly stated that Bravo had a level Contract that was untrue . This
is what caused Bravo to call him a Big Idiot . Does anyone here believe that if Cameron had correctly stated
the level Contract that Bravo had , the latter would have called him a Big Idiot ?????
Cameron earned that name because he
did not think that it was important for him to correctly ascertain what level Contract Bravo had .
Quite frankly Cameron had an Obligation to be sure of what level Contract Bravo had ; before making his statement .
THE FACT THAT HE DID NOT DO THAT IS
WHAT CAUSED BRAVO TO CALL HIM A BIG
IDIOT .
Many also seem to forget that Bravo
for his utterance Bravo was punished by being sent home . It must be noted
that the WICBC/CWI has a Disciplinary
Committee . That was swiftly bypassed.
It is also very important to note that
BRAVO WAS NOT ACCORDED DUE PROCESS ,
meaning an Opportunity to state what
prompted him to call Cameron a Big Idiot .
Bravo was then punished a second time
for the same Offense by not being
selected . In normal circumstances ,
People do not get punished twice for the same Offense .
Yet the WICBC/ CWI YAHOOS here & in the Media in their perceived wisdom
decided that Cameron was Right & Bravo was wrong . Despite the fact that it was Cameron , who did not think that it was necessary for him
ascertain what level Contract Bravo had .
To him apparently that was a trifling matter ; but it was not to Bravo , It
is unfortunate that the People in the Region are kept in the Dark regarding
the Money the WICBC/CWI has had to
give people for its Utter Stupidity .
ALL BECAUSE OF THE ANIMOSITY THOSE
IN THE WICBC/CWI HAVE TOWARDS THE
PLAYERS .
I am willing to bet that if there was a law stating that the money
that the WICBC/CWI had to pay Players for their utter Stupidity ,
They would be more circumspect in their behaviour .
In reply to POINT
Point thank you for stating the issues around the travesty that transpired emanating from the WICB. Those who have eyes to see will see your points.
As for those who think we don't need Bravo, Coach Law does not believe so.
Another proper Test batsman, Darren Bravo seems to be waiting to make a comeback after his suspension.
Through Johnny Grave and Jimmy Adams, we have tried to open the door for Darren to come back. With amnesty in place, the door has opened a lot quicker. We did everything to entice him back for the England tour, which he quite rightly sat back and made his own decision to opt out of. We would love to have Darren back in the side because he is a class act. I have not spoken to him personally, but the talks that the CEO and Jimmy have had, they were encouraging signs.

Thanks for your Support , as You can see many of those who Support the
WICBC/CWI are deathly afraid of telling The Emperors that they aint
wearing any Clothes .
