Italy probes deaths of 26 Nigerian women from migrant boats

These are kids for God's sake..... sad

Wow!!! Black lives only matter if it happens in the USA... sad

Black on black crime is 'not really discussed here.' When last you hear the usual suspects complain or point out the 10's and 20's of murder of blacks by blacks each weekend in Chicago?

However.... if this (article above) proves otherwise, then..... sad

Yep.... not one peep from the regulars who decry police brutality in the great US of A although this happened and was posted 4 days ago and is a serious problem in the Mediterranean cross....

It could be one of those "if it's not close to home, it's not on the radar" kind of things.

Most people living in North America probably see events in Africa or Asia or Europe as an aside, while if something happens in North America, they see and know about it instantly. That goes for people of all colours, I think.

If you are a vociferous advocate for brutality and unjust treatment against blacks you have to be consistent and decry it whenever and wherever it happens. There is no luxury of choice. That's all I am saying....

You may very well be right.

I mean though, look at what happened in Somalia recently. There was no #PrayersForMogadishu hashtag the way there was for Paris or Orlando.
Or what's happened in Myanmar.

There's a lot of brutal happenings across the globe and it's sad, yet deserves all our attention. Just wish it could all be addressed.

It is astounding to see the level of abject ignorance being displayed so far on this thread.

I would extend that to include ALL people, but you are basically correct.

Those "vociferous advocates" are usually perpetrating the very problems they seem to be against, and very often with the same flawed thinking that supports the problem.

Most often the real interest is to support some political or religious cause or the other.

Start cussing the Republicans, or religion, and the "vociferous advocates" will show up in their numbers!!

You're being a bit naive if you really think its ignorance on display. If you know the characters and their history on this board and that other one....you'd call it something else.
