MEET EMMERSON MNANGAGWA, THE MAN WHO COULD REPLACE ROBERT MUGABE AS ZIMBABWE'S NEXT PRESIDENT

Mnangagwa—who is known as the Crocodile in Zimbabwe—became Mugabe’s deputy in 2014 following the purge of Joice Mujuru, who Mugabe and his wife Grace accused of plotting to kill the president.

While much of the information coming out of the capital Harare remains unclear, there are unconfirmed reports that Mnangagwa may be behind the military takeover, which the army is insisting is not a coup.

Mnangagwa would not come to power with a clean slate. In particular, Mnangagwa was minister of national security in the 1980s and is accused of playing a key role in the so-called Gukurahundi massacres, a brutal campaign against the Ndebele people in western Zimbabwe that saw more than 20,000 civilians killed by armed forces loyal to Mugabe. Mnangagwa has denied involvement in the massacres.

Zim will stay a 4th world shithole, where the politicians eat crocodile, caviar, sip only the finest champagnes and drive the shiniest English and German metal whilst the average Zimbabwean will struggle to afford a loaf of bread and will have loyalty beat into them for the new president by the Black Boots.

I'm scheduled to go back there again next year for a project. Can't wait.

I see your other post was pretty brutal on Mugabe, where the writer claimed Mugabe's responsibility for 50,000 murders.

Well, I would say if Mugabe is responsible for all those murders, as Head of State, I wonder what you would say about the new man Mnangagwa, who was behind this purge, with a nod from China, and who is about to take over form Mugabe, but more importantly, was the man in charge of the the spy agencies and security apparatuses.

China is emerging as a key power-broker on the continent

Nobody in Beijing or Harare is saying whether China was told in advance about plans for the takeover.

Shortly before Zimbabwean tanks took to the streets, however, the Chinese Defense Ministry made a point of reporting that Zimbabwe’s top military commander had met with his Chinese counterpart in Beijing the previous week.

It's obvious that China is in control, based on Hugh investments. People from Zimbabwe are now claiming that 50,000 is a low number.
My only problem with this individual why did so many die?

How many were injured, plundered, raped etc.?

The Irony it was done to his own citizens.

Why the ethnic cleansing?

So sad
sad sad
