He'd make a GREAT coach!
In reply to Larr Pullo
Shiv makes a great anything. Coach. Player. Etc.
Right now he is a coach and player, technical advisor, elder statesman, match winner. Etc.
Allyuh can't keep a good man down.
Keep going Shiv. You are proof that 40 is the new 30.
Yeah, allyuh talk nah.
In reply to Runs
Bro, just calling it the way i see it.
But really, when I hear comparisons of men retiring back in the 60's and 70's at the age of 40. And that they didn't stick around etc.
We hear that Mr. X retired at that age, so now Mr Y should likewise...it begs the question:
Aren't the players today much more focused on their diet, exercise etc...to maintain their bodies to fulfill the rigors of today's game? Aren't there sufficent monetary incentives to invest in onself to prolong their shelf life, ala Shiv? And isn't Shiv doing a bang up job proving my point that there is life after 40 for a professional athlete, who is willing to put in the hard work of maintaining body and mind? When you look at it, one thing that has underscored Shiv's career has been his ability to meet adverserial conditions head on, and prosper. He makes me proud that he still wants to suit up and give the world of cricket his best shot. And that is asking a whole lot more of another human being at 40+.
Yeah, allyuh talk nah!
... Leon, that's because you was a complicate the thing in trying to premeditate the shot, play the ball on merit .... "if it faat ... "

Hexplain?
In reply to buds
It is a Guyanese thing...you won't understand.
Cause if Shiv can demonstrate the hunger for runs, and he is ready to put a premium on his wcket, then a much younger man like Leon should do likewise.
Yeah, allyuh talk nah!
In reply to buds... because the coaches never been there done that.
In reply to tc1.... Shiv's advice.
In reply to runout... Bud will never get it, trust me on this one.
In reply to natty_forever
Buds don't matter. Once Leon can improve his game, and Guyana can dominate, then they will get it!
Inspiration plus perspiration equals success!
If you guys saw the match, you will have recognized how involved Shiv was with the bowlers, and the captain.
Yeah, allyuh talk nah!

Too much credit is heaped on a single player after making a decent score..
It only last for one day or so..
In reply to Maispwi

LEON JOHNSON * c DENNIS SMITH b SHERMAN LEWIS 4(12
In reply to Narper
Makes my point. Scores when batting wid Shiv gets out when batting wid Tage
In reply to Maispwi
