Gayle: Good to be among the runs again. We were looking to get more than 140. New ball came on to the bat nicely. But when you lose crucial wickets at crucial times, it's difficult. Credit to the bowlers for defending the target.
Chris Gayle is Man of the Match
RGR 142 (19.5 Ovs)
Chris Gayle c Abu Hider b Mosaddek Hossain 51
Sunil Narine 4 0ver 29 runs 0 wicket
Kieron Pollard 1 0ver 6 runs 0 wicket
Fifer for Shakib and he single handedly choked the Rangpur innings. Rangpur started well courtesy a fiery innings from Gayle. They lost the plot in the middle but Bopara held one end.
However, just when Rangpur would have thought that he will get them over 150, he was run out after a miscommunication in the middle. Dhaka have comeback well here. Should be a fun chase, stay tuned...
DHAKA 139-all out (20.0 Ovs)
Evin Lewis lbw b Gazi 28
Sunil Narine c Mithun b Mortaza 0
Kieron Pollard b Thisara Perera 12
Dhaka have somehow managed to botch their run-chase spectacularly. No question they should have got home, and should have done so comfortably. However, first, Afridi allowed Rangpur an opening when he threw his wicket away with an ugly slog.
That wicket stalled their momentum appreciably. And then in the last over, with 10 required, it appeared as if Pollard would go on to finish it off after he hit a giant six off the third ball.
But now in hindsight, his decision to refuse three possible singles is what came back to bite him as Perera produced two sensational yorkers off the final two balls to help Rangpur pull off a heist.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH... Chris Gayle
Chris Gayle notched up a 39-ball 50, while the bowlers made regular incisions to secure Rangpur Riders' hard-fought seven-run win over Sylhet Sixers in a Bangladesh Premier League game played on Monday (November 20).
Despite Sabbir Rahman (70) and Nasir Hossain (50) scoring vital fifties, Sixers couldn't chase down the target of 170 and eventually ended up with 162 for 4.

It gives a great feeling to see our players worldwide doing well, its one reason I will never criticize any of them.
It's not an easy life to be in their profession being judged often, since most struggled during early years with poverty.
I wish them all to live long and prosper.
Make us all proud Caribbean cricketers.
