T&T Delegate to Ms World in India
Miss World Trinidad and Tobago, Aché Abrahams debut of her National costume during the Miss World Opening Ceremony earlier today. All eyes are on Trinidad and Tobago’s Miss World, Aché Abrahams, as she continues her quest to bring the Miss World crown home.
Abrahams has been successful in a series of Miss World events in India which began on February 18 as she gears up to represent this country on the global stage at the Miss World finals, which will be held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India, on Saturday.
The finals of the Head to Head Challenge saw her deliver a three-minute speech on sustainability. She was the only Caribbean delegate to qualify in the top 25 in this event.
Last week was also a promising week for Abrahams who became the third Trinbagonian to have qualified for the Miss Talent contest in history. Yesterday Abrahams was announced in the top ten of the Beauty with a Purpose competition. She will now advance to the finals of the Beauty with a Purpose competition.
Abrahams, who battled anxiety and depression, hosted a Be Mindful podcast and released a booklet for children titled Let’s Talk about Feelings as part of her Beauty with a Purpose project. My belief is that when the world is quiet about an issue, we must be the voice to speak up loudly to create the necessary changes for the greater good of all humanity. This is why I created my Beauty With a Purpose initiative, The Invisible Scars Project.”
