Kevin Sinclair as a middle order batsman.

Jamstar 2024-03-15 14:31:00

mek sense ?

Dooglar 2024-03-15 16:50:46

In all formats. He's now reminding me of Steve Smith. Came in initially as a bowler and transformed himself into a top batsman.

Dooglar 2024-03-15 16:51:07

He's hungry..

Kay 2024-03-15 17:09:49

Kevin is a batsman ... period!

In reply to Dooglar

Fully agree, been thinking the same thing

PalsofMine 2024-03-15 20:05:33

he is a decent 4th innings bowler as well. Tends to get wickets then.

Kevin Sinclair, in my opinion is better than all the other young middle batsmen in WI

natty_forever 2024-03-15 22:33:32

Kevin "Steve Smith" Sinclair?

imusic 2024-03-15 22:57:16

Steve Smith?

Allyuh good yes

Jamstar 2024-03-15 23:33:53

In reply to imusic

He is no Steven Smith but it is obvious he is a better batsman than bowler, man os averaging close to 40 while batting in the lower order.

4REALQUICKS 2024-03-16 01:38:26

Hopefully, Kevin Sinclair will continue to develop nicely, along with the likes of Alick Athanaze, Kirk McKenzie, Kevlon Anderson, Kavem Hodge, Kevin Wickham and one or two others such as Jewell Andrew and Jordan Johnson, the West Indies could be forming a nice, solid middle order for years to come.

Why can't they make the comparison?

Did they say he was or will be successful as Steven Smith? And who's to say he can't be?

For years y'all compared Michael with Lara and? Alas Lara had some cricketing sense but...

Steve Smith?

Allyuh good yes

In your Trini parlance, I wonder if allyuh have reasoning skills yes.

Smh

It would have been nice if you made a notable mentioned Shamar Joseph to complete the equation

Remember it was probably because of his bowling more an anything WI won the last test

4REALQUICKS 2024-03-16 10:53:27

In reply to InHindsight

Well I was talking about the middle order batting. Obviously, if we were talking about the bowling unit, Shamar would have been first on my list.

TanteMerle 2024-03-16 12:08:58

It is amazing the mentality here.

A man posited that Sinclair transition from bowler to batsman
is comparable to Steve Smith transition.

yet idiots here started typing about greatness..

The transition from bowler to batsman is the thesis
FOOLS.

Now respond to the thesis.

evil

You’re sitting Athanaze?

Headley 2024-03-18 16:05:23

Sinclair is a fully committed cricketer, blessed with talent and even more cricket awareness that cannot be taught. Reference Chris Gayle.

Right now I would open with Athi.

Gets set up too easily with the short ball. Loves to play the hook shot but doesn't put it out of the ground or control placement.
He would be great choice once he got a handle on that. Him and McKenzie should be fixtures in the top order going forward.

Both also have to get over the ball and keep the drives down because extra cover picking them off too often.

Is he opening for the Windwards right now?

Yeah just for a piece. Otherwise sit Alzarri if you want an extra batter.

Jamstar 2024-03-20 20:25:56

Nice little 74 today.

It's obvious what should happen next

Kay 2024-03-20 21:33:26

He keeps making the case ....

PalsofMine 2024-03-20 21:34:27

But they need to give him some overs to bowl as well.

velo 2024-03-20 23:49:04

I dont see nothing in sinclairs bowling at this moment to make me believe he could be a specialist bowler at the international level to flat ,to fast and no variations

Agree with everything you said regarding imusic comments to people using Kevin's name in reference to Smith. It's juat a simple analog. We so accustomed of calling down we own we do it even when we want to lift them up

Don't waste your energy behind that chap... Ah think he's worried about Sinclair replacing Chase in all formats big grin
