T&T v Barbados

yeah boy......its really bad

Really need to get some sort of drs system in place around the Caribbean.
I know it's expensive but even a partial system is better until these umpires improve or get replaced.
In reply to Chrissy
Holder could have recall the batter. Absent DRS due to cost, CWI should ask senior WI players to lead a "spirit of the game" self umpiring pilot program whereby the opposition voluntarily recall a batter for umpiring "HOWLERS" like Mohan's teef out.
7/1

Had the same thought

Even if they had one game per round with a partial drs system, would certainly start asking questions of the umpires.
Another option is to just start hiring umpires from the ECB while there is no county cricket to come in for a couple of rounds to work alongside the domestic umpires.
I see that Goolie did not recover. That is a real pity as it would have been good to see him bat against that strong Bim attack. I agree with Khan for Hinds who is having an off season.

You think di 'eat a food' posse gwin pay for accommodation and fees fi foreign umpires?

In reply to Chrissy
prob not but it is still a good suggestion esp if we make it reciprocal, so that our umpires go up during the summer. May just be a pipe dream though. What we clearly need is more training for the umpires as there have been many complaints about the standard of umpiring this year.
In reply to Chrissy
At the end of the day, these inept umpires could cost someone a place in their franchise side if they haven't already.
pride got them on the backfoot early i said that comberbatch should not have been dropped last match yes he is medium pace but he is accurate and makes the batsmen play with a little movement unlike mccalister , chemar holder or reifer .i heard roach is not in trinidad is it because of the incident with permaul?
In reply to Emir
No word from you nor the Trini supporter about Josh behavior.

I do not agree.
Part of the game. Things like that usually even out and if they don’t, move on to the next match.
I haven’t seen a ball bowl, but assuming Holder appealed for LBW and the ump rules in his favour. Then he decide to recall the batsman in a display of “sportsmanship”, he basically fuckin up the umpire by doing so.
Nah……in the absence of DRS, umpire decision final, as wrong as it may be.

Selfish seales left his mate high and dry
In reply to velo
He is a WI test player, therefore he should have known better, his team is in trouble and your senior batter is doing extraordinarily well in the 90's and you played a horrible shot. To top it off, his comeback form injury bowling has been pretty ordinary. Now, let see if he can make it up.

TT fight back, game in balance now. If TT can grab 2 quick wickets tomorrow, it will be super exciting.
In reply to Emir
Close LBW calls and some really close play and miss, sometimes luck isn't going your way,and Seales was really the worst act of the day,I just couldn't believe it.This has to be the best innings I have seen up till now,if there was a better innings please tell me.Two quick wickets tomorrow and this could end in 2 and a half days.
time for the young guns of the pride drakes and wickham tomorrow
In reply to velo
Smooth, silky Wick should feast of some soft Tits tomorrow.
In reply to granite
Yuh mean bogus LBW calls. That first lbw was atrocious. That umpire is a mess

TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO RED FORCE

BARBADOS PRIDE
260/6
Barbados Pride lead Trinidad and Tobago Red Force by 88 runs with 4 wickets remaining
In reply to tc1
Don't look like a feast to me,more like a fight for runs.
Thanks to Narper me get some bad news, that has always been the case when it looks like we losing,we get news then,if we doing good, no news.
In reply to granite
TT playing like a WI captained by holder.....for a WI VC, da silva's tactics are difficult to decipher
Tail cleaned up. Lead of 107.
TT need to get at least 300 in the 2nd innings to win, a 4th innings chase of 200 will be exciting and I believe they can defend it, but first, they need to get to 300.
In reply to velo
Your "young guns" shooting blanks today maybe tomorrow eh.
Ay "tc1 "silky smooth Wickham" ,no feast eh.
TT 100 fuh 3,,,Jangoo 30 n.o and de Silva 17 n.o.
Mohammed,Mohan and Ottley 39 gone,so TT must get at least 250/275 to make a match out of it.The umpire has made it easy for Bim.If we get 300 and Bim haffi chase 200 then dem better run and hide in the Northern Range.
Commentator just made 2 good points:
- If we are to improve WI cricket we need
1. More cricket
2. Better umpiring (need to work on training and development for umpires)
In reply to granite
No comment from. me.

I just tuned in to see the last two wickets.
Was it the pitch, or the umpires who are both Bajans, was the match played in Bibby's Lane with a couple of Umpires from my area?
Tell me bro what happened?
In reply to tc1
You do know that I am an admirer of Bim cricketers and that goes back to my boyhood days, never mind the lil picong.
A lot of LBW dismissals in the match. What's going on?
