Guyana vs Windward Islands
Guyana Harpy Eagles are 25 for 0
And another failure from Tage...
Kirk McKenzie, opening the batting for Jamaica. also fell for not many...
Does NOBODY want to open the batting in England..?
In reply to 4REALQUICKS
Tage needs to bat at number 5 like his dad. He will score runs there.
In reply to Seechy
Tage is one of the worst opening batter I think I've ever seen.
Puts his team under pressure from ball one.
In reply to SnoopDog
Tage is so negative in his thinking it has destroyed his carrier, I know Nandu has not gotten a big score, but, think he is better than Tage, I have seen more effort by Nandu to be more busy
In reply to Seechy
Look, how many times have we seen this short movie play out? He is stuck in one mode and does not make an effort to change or fix what is wrong, which is everything with his approach.
Someone else deserves a chance .......
In reply to bird
With Tage opening, Guyana are effectively handicapped and are playing with 10 men.
Perhaps Seechy's idea of putting him down lower in the batting order might work out and save his career.

Why they have the last pair continue batting and take up time. They need to declare and get in a few overs at the opposition ...

Cause he backside knows that one more failure and it's "Tage's Fresh Fish" at Bourda market.
In reply to Narper
Mali is easily my favourite West Indian cricket commentator at the moment.
Knowledgeable, calls the play well, good insights for colour commentary, and little to no histrionics and shouting a the fcuking TV like those Tittie comms.

Guyana scored 42 runs in that session
after leading by 350+ overnight

With that huge lead the current SR is 2.64.
Windwards should bat out the rest of the day and hope the rains come tomorrow ...
In reply to Kay
i guess they are backing themselves to bowl WWI out in the last 3 or 4 sessions which is not unreasonable...but they could be more intentional

Why didnt Guyana enforce the follow on?? Bizarre tactics to just go in there and bat for time basically. Is it just to get some batting points to go with the almost inevitable match points to move up the league? Serves WWI right for not finishing them off last year!

Guyana batted 30 overs today for 56 runs then declare
In reply to doosra
Who is the coach for Guyana? He wants 2 baux to allow that slow batting.
In reply to googley
it looks like they weren't sure how to approach it, especially with the 2 guys nearing landmarks
4 down
Smith all over them
Guyana batted carefully because both overnight batters wanted to get some runs, both have been having a poor season so far.
In reply to doosra
Smith all over them
VOR padding up Bro.
It's Ambris not Ambrose ...
This guy melius never seems to score runs but is slways in the windwards side
In reply to velo
and was made captain as well!
it will be interesting to analyze after this round. Only Tage has advanced in the batting department and Smith in the bowling. A couple of people have regressed and maybe a couple are just having the bad match that every player has once in a while (e.g. Travis Head getting a king pair v WI). A couple continue not to impress like Athanaze and Da Silva. CCC is putting up a fight for the second match running. I suspect that they may be able to beat the Force at this rate.
