Somebody tell me

Do you feel the same?

Whenever Shiv Chanderpaul came in to bat I felt quietly assured. I'd just feel to take a glass of win and sip and enjoy my cricket.

When Tage comes to bat I ask myself how could a man be so crabby and uninspiring to watch?

I saw Shiv when he was 15 or 16 and you knew instantly he had it...by the time he was 17 he was scoring runs against Ambi in FC cricket...

some are born different

Did you pay to watch shiv Chanderpaul bat?

Everyone who saw Shiv bat when he was a teenager knew he had "it" and would be a successful Test batsman.

Even your fren iTito. lol

Didn't teenage Shiv score a double ton off Pom U19 in Pomland?

Yep. At Trent Bridge.

Shiv changed his batting style late in his career, his debut inning against England looks nothing like later .

PalsofMine 2024-03-22 22:44:11

Hooper, Lara, Shiv, Sars and Gayle all had the "it" factor. I think Marlon Samuels had it also. Not too sure about anyone since that bunch.

people have short selective memories...people went to cricket when Shiv was playing

don't let anyone else tell you otherwise

I believe shiv changed his batting style prior to, or during the tour to Sri Lanka when he was captain

I totally forgot that Shiv was captain at one point.

Now I can remember him sending BCL to field on the long leg boundary because he was fed up with the constant 'advice'.

Maybe if he had taken the ‘advice’ he would have improved on his WI captaincy record of
Played - 14 matches
Won - 1
Draw - 3
Lost - 11

Are you suggesting Shiv’s captaincy can be characterized as one of moderate successes and devastating failures? lol

Does it matter? I got an autograph and a pic with him and wife way before Tage was born
