As torn as it makes me, I still rate him as my favorite Wailer, I guess it is because he has the most melodious voice of the three. Many will say not the best but even then it is still the most melodious.
By the way that whole album is full of dance chunes. Bunny actually said it was his answer to dem young bway's trying to claim di dancehall from The Don Daddas. He explained that The Wailers aim
was always to make dance tunes even when the priority was message. The influence of R n B on the album is that he covered the Impressions 'Just Another Dance' quite masterfully. Who was it that said
Bob didn't want One Love to be one of his earlier tunes because he was worried that Curtis Mayfield would get most of the money because he used the lines...a whole verse really from People Get Ready?

There ain't no room for the hopeless sinner
Who would hurt all mankind just to save his own (believe me now)
Have pity on those
Whose chances grow thinner
For there's no hiding place against the Kingdom's Throne

That caused a falling out between Bunny and Marcia Griffiths. Bunny created the melody on Marcia's synthesizer.
Years after the chune was made it bussed in DC one summer and spread like wildfire. Marcia in an American Radio
interview when asked about the song's origin did not credit Bunny but said 'It was just the vibes.' Wailer got vexed
and released his version which went nowhere. That caused a rift in a friendship that began from Marcia's parents
used to have her wait for Bunny to reach her gate and hold her hand to walk with her to basic and primary school.

Well Bunny never became as popular as the others because his music in that era was more mellow than the others like Marley and Tosh.

No, Blackheart Man is a semenal album, among the best reggae albums ever released. Bunny's stage performance hiatus between late '75-82 is the cause.
He returned to stage only after Bob's passing. I was at the Youth Consciousness show, one of my best experiences.
