Thanks, 4RQ. I think that these averages may well be an improvement past years and to have most of these guys averaging in the 40s is also good. Some room for improvement still I think as our top batsmen should be averaging 50+ regionally if they are looking to be around 40 in test cricket. The bowling was pretty much as expected with spinners dominating but it was good to see 2 WIA bowlers in the top 3 and two seamers with the best strike rates. Shows that for the more talented seamers, the pitches did offer some assistance. I have this pair for my A team attack on the assumption that Roach will still refuse to retire and JaHo is an automatic pick for England so that there is room for only one more seamer in that squad, who will probably be Seales. it will be interesting if you could provide us with figures for the best allrounders. I suspect that Springer will feature there and he is my third seamer for the A team with Bishop and Charles or Salmon to complete the five bowlers and Ryan John as back up in the squad. Major disappointments were that Athanaze and Hodge could not make the top 10 in batting. That should surely put their places under scrutiny for at least the SA tour, assuming that they make the squad to England based on the Oz series. If Louis goes to England, my A squad openers will be Ottley and McCaskie with Solzano as back up and middle order will be Goolie, Jangoo, Wickham, Ambris and Hamilton to keep with Morrison or Savory as back up. I am sending Bowen-Tuckett and Jewel Andrew as well as Pascal to Ireland

Isn’t “Top Batsman” bit of a misnomer, might even be considered misleading, in terms of the poor WI batting performances in modern day cricket. Maybe we need to add a few international A-teams or B-teams to our domestic tournament, to at least improve the standards.

Again the spinners dominated, but congratulations should be given to the Cricket Boards and ground Staffs for preparing better pitches.

I should have said highest scoring batsmen and still that don't mean the best, the problem was I haven't seen these batsmen bat,I saw one and he was Zachry Mc.Kaskie and after looking at him once I thought he looks the business.I used "top batsmen" just meaning highest scoring batsmen ,I know it doesn't mean the best.

Indeed it should. A long standing and major issue affecting the cricket and player's development in the region is finally being worked on. Still a way to go but the right steps are being taken.
