The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has launched a probe into allegations by a player that he was asked to fix matches during the latest Bangladesh Premier League Twenty20 tournament.
Rangpur Riders’ Jupiter Ghosh had alleged on Monday (November 28) that Sanuar Hossain, the team manager, had told him to fix match results just before the start of the tournament earlier this month. He claimed he was dropped from the team when he refused to comply.
“The BCB is investigating complaints lodged by a cricketer of BPL 2016 franchise Rangpur Riders against an official of the same team,” the board said. “The BCB recognises that the allegations and counter allegations brought forward by the player and the official concerned, which includes breach of discipline and corrupt practice, are of serious nature.”

DHAKA, Bangladesh (CMC) – Superstar Chris Gayle announced his arrival in the Bangladesh Premier League like only he can, hitting a boundary-studded cameo to help propel Chittagong Vikings to a nine-wicket win over Rangpur Riders in Bangladesh on Sunday.
The left-hander blasted 40 from 26 deliveries in his first innings of the tournament as Vikings easily chased down a target of 125 at Shere Bangla National Stadium, with 24 balls to spare.

Finally a full day’s cricket was possible in the Digicel Regional four-day match between Jamaica Scorpions and Barbados Pride, but that did not prevent the encounter from petering to an uneventful draw yesterday.
When both sides and the match officials agreed to end proceedings under sunny afternoon skies at 4 o’ clock, the Scorpions were 112-2 in their second innings with neither team in position to force a victory.

West Indies batsman Darren Bravo has made a claim against the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) for unlawful dismissal from the team that was in Zimbabwe taking part in the tri-series.
Bravo was sent home by the on- tour management committee after he allegedly sent out an offensive Tweet against the president of the WICB, Dave Cameron, has sent a pre-action protocol letter to the WICB last week.
T&T Guardian understands that Bravo’s lawyer has made a claim that the WICB sent him home unlawfully from Zimbabwe and as such they have decided to take the matter to court. Bravo’s lawyer’s letter was received by the Board last week and it will meet on the way to treat with it.
