The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has lost e-mail contact
with the outside world because of an administrative screw-up that
caused the domain name registration for the WindiesCricket.com Web
site to expire last week.
Cricket fans logging on to the WICB's official site for news on
the team's performance during the first two ODIs against Australia
were greeted with a blank page (Screenshot) because someone
forgot to renew the registration of the URL.

A CARIBBEANCRICKET.COM INVESTIGATION
If evidence was needed that the old boys' network continues to
dominate West Indies cricket, the behind-the-scenes response to a
damning report on the Shell Academy would fill up a court
dossier.
A CaribbeanCricket.com investigation into the way the
West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) handled the infamous 'Toot Byron
Report' revealed that personal friendships at the highest levels
helped sweep that ugly episode under the rug.

The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) on Monday confirmed pacer
Jermaine Lawson will miss the entire ODI series against Australia
and possibly the one-dayers against Sri Lanka because of what was
diagnosed as "bulging discs in the lower back."
The Jamaican fast bowler, who is scheduled to have his bowling
action reviewed by the WICB's Bowling Review Committee (BRC), will
rehab in Jamaica for a minimum of two weeks and then leave for
Antigua to work with specialist bowling advisor Andy Roberts.

Sunday at Sabina with MICHELLE MCDONALD
Fluttering flags in the balmy breeze signalled the start of the
2nd ODI at Sabina Park on Sunday. The sky was even clearer than it
was on Saturday, removing any thoughts of possible rain to thwart
the proceedings. The fans had left their Sunday routine hoping to
exchange it for some exhilarating cricket. Instead, what they ended
up getting would certainly have made them wish they had stayed home
to enjoy their traditional Sunday dinner in leisurely fashion.

Wispy clouds on the outskirts of the boundary frame the powder
blue sky where a Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) helicopter hovers. A
waft of cannabis blows from the Air Jamaica stand. On the other
side of the ground, the George Headley stand is a sea of fanning
fans, for it is hot?hot? hot. ?Old Mas Joe?, plastic cup in hand,
declares ?Jamaica ah di headquarters o? di world. Jamaica ah di
bes? place in di world. W-O-R-L-D?. Welcome to Sabina Park, home of
international cricket in the capital of the Caribbean,
Kingston.
