Good thing I am watching and it is amazing what these Commentators see.
Motie just went caught at the wicket and the Com saw it as LBW.
Phew. Unbelievable. It wasn't even close to pad.
Yes Yard team looks jaded with this recovery by the Guyana batters.
Did not look like they would get another wicket for the day.
But did Motie get a touch ?

Well since nobody mention Jongoo's century 151 NOT oUT and a hopeful 200 let me say well done, not forgetting the ole man JMO with a 147.If Jangoo was well managed by Trinidad he would have been in contention for a Windies A selection, but the boy is good,2 centuries for him so far,doh bloody fuget.Keep fighting my boy they would have to take a peek in your direction, dem talk bout everybody but just fight.

Jangoo might be a good back-up wicketkeeper for the Test team, his batting is decent, his wicketkeeping might be on the same level as DaSilva. even Savory is a decent wicketkeeper and his batting is coming on.

Close of Play Scores, Day One:

Guyana 278/7 (K.Savory 127*, G.Motie 56, O.Shields 3/56) vs Jamaica

Windwards 162 (J.Bishop 4/24, J.Layne 3/30), WI Academy 99/5

Barbados 248/3 (K.Brathwaite 117*, Z.McCaskie 101) vs Leewards

T&T 374/4 (J.Mohammed 157, A.Jangoo 151*, K.Ottley 47, A.Goodridge 3/37) vs CCC

Looking ahead to day two, Jangoo may pass Kevin Sinclair's tournament highest score of 165*, although Savory and Brathwaite are also on unbeaten centuries overnight. Joshua Bishop's 4/24 took him to the top spot as leading wicket taker this season. He now has 33 (avg 20). Guyana will look to continue their impressive fightback against Jamaica. The Windwards vs Academy game is already shaping up nicely, could very well finish early and is surely to be a closely fought affair. Led by West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite, Barbados will hope to continue their domination after a strong first day showing against the Leewards. In an even stronger position, T&T look set to post a massive first innings total against the Combined Colleges & Campuses, with a score approaching 400 on day one.

Yes Bowen-Tuckett looks like one of the better gloves-men in the region, but his batting needs to be more consistent or else he will end up being another Hamilton. Most likely he will be the A team wicket-keeper, against South Africa. Imlach since he returned from Australia has not kept wicket.

Great to see young players jostling for the second wicketkeeping position. which is the better keeper between Imlach and Jangoo, seeing that Hamilton will probably not be considered? Of course while we are happy for Jangoo we must realise that he is playing against the weakest bowling team in the region. I think that Bowen-Tuckett should possibly get a look in on the A team this year along with Morrison. Whatever happened to Clarke from Bim? Walcott from WWI also has been a little invisible this year. Am currently in transit in Antigua and it has been pouring rain all morning. Not sure if there can be any play today

I thought King was too passive early on in the Guyana inning...should have mounted full
scale attacking fields and aided his bowlers even more .
He was fortunate that Kevlon Anderson played a very poor shot to get our early as he
would probably be still batting/.
The Jamaica attack is not very good and as the pitch settled into a Road, even
Boycott's mammy would make runs against it ..Can't see the value of Lewis as a
bowler in this team and the Jamaica batting line up has very little quality.
I expect them to crumble when they bat.
Great recovery by Guyana. This is real red ball cricket too lol

When I first saw him about 2 or 3 years ago I thought he would walk into a West Indies team.He was a solid batsman and very good W/Keeper,as you say he has become invisible recently, but he can come good again.I saw him defy a good TT bowling side to save Bim from what looked like sure defeat.
