8:45pm Wow. Just wow. An amazing and astonishing display of stroke-making, headlined by Nicholas Pooran and supported ably by Keacy Carty. The pair, from the moment they got together, did not miss a beat and smashed the ball to all parts, making the Patriots scratch their heads for answers. Narine was not bad either at the start and his cameo set the Knight Riders on their way inside the powerplay.

Not much to celebrate from a bowling POV. The Patriots were all over the shop and could not contain a powerful batting unit, often allowing them to score on both sides of the wicket. Their fielding was also incredibly sub-par and their decision to not bowl out Shamsi seemed odd, given Drakes, who bowled his full quota, went for 77. They have a mountain to climb now but they do have firepower of their own. If that will be enough, well, we will find out in a bit!

Keacy Carty: It is pretty good for batting but a bit slow when it is on a length. As a batter, you pick your areas, back your skill and try to execute. I was trying to hit the ball through extra cover, square of the wicket. Shamsi was basically their main factor, so tried to keep him out of the game by not giving him wickets. (On batting with Pooran) It is like watching a highlights package live. (On the TKR dressing room atmosphere) There are a lot of experienced and great players, so it makes the job very clear and less complicated. They make it clear the roles they want you to play. (On what could work with the ball) Hard length, just outside off - that is a strong option on this pitch.

TNT has a better bowling attack and sure cannot field worse than these Patriots.

9pm Right. We are back. Plenty to get for the Patriots but this opening pair of Fletcher and Lewis can cause a fair bit of damage, if they get going.

Edwards to Lewis, FOUR runs
boundary to start off! Full just outside off, shaping away from Lewis. He has a nibble at it and squirts it off the inside half of the bat. Fine leg is too square to cut it off!

Edwards to Lewis, SIX runs
does not matter to Lewis, though! In the slot outside off and Lewis decides it is time. Frees his arms fully and demolishes it over wide long off!

Little to Fletcher, OUT
edged and taken this time! Little is over the moon! Hard length just outside off. Rears up off the surface and bounces extra, getting big on Fletcher. He tries to ride the bounce but all he manages is a glove through to Pooran. Fairly simple catch, and that is just what the Patriots would not have wanted!

Andre Fletcher c †Pooran b Little 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots..(1.2/20 ov, T:251) 12/1

Little to Mayers, SIX runs
oh, hello! Right in the slot on the pads, and Mayers does not hang about. Snaps his wrists into action and whips it into the giant screen over deep backward square leg!

Little to Mayers, OUT
Mayers bites the dust now!

Kyle Mayers c Parris b Little 6 (3b 0x4 1x6) SR: 200

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots..(1.5/20 ov, T:251) 18/2

Afeef: "If STKNP are to have any chance of chasing this down, they'll need Evin Lewis to fire on all cylinders." -- More so now with Mayers and Fletcher back in the shed. Edward back for his second

watch that ball fly! Slot ball outside off and Lewis climbs into it. Transfers his weight forward, goes through the line and bangs it into the sightscreen!

Edwards to Lewis, FOUR runs
edged and four! Slower ball bowled full outside off. Swerves away from Lewis and that causes the miscue. Skews off the outside edge of Lewis' swish and evades short third!

A false start because someone was moving behind the bowler's arm. Edward actually released it but Lewis was steadfast in wanting to bail out, even though the ball zoned in and hit his bat

Little to Louis, FOUR runs
Louis is up and running too! Marginally short on middle and leg. Louis picks up the length early and smashes it over mid wicket!

Little to Louis, FOUR runs
back to back boundaries! Short again, this time on middle and off. Louis, though, seems very comfortable against it. Uses his height to get on top of it and pounds it between deep mid wicket and deep square leg!

Little to Louis, FOUR runs
top shot! Hard length outside off but Louis is onto this too. Stands up tall on the front foot and cracks it over extra cover!

The Patriots ransacked 66 in the powerplay but that was still below what is required. Tells you the enormity of their task. Salamkheil into the attack now

Waqar to Lewis, OUT
cleans him all ends up! Plenty of revs on this wrong'un, and this drifts away beautifully before pitching just outside off and spinning into Lewis, who looks to smash it into next week. Loses track of it and because he did not pick the variation, he only connects with fresh air. The ball crashes into the stumps, and that is a big moment in the game!
