Waqar to Stubbs, SIX runs
Stubbs goes big! Marginally short on middle and off. Stubbs picks the length (and the googly), and rocks back to pound it over wide long on!

Waqar to Stubbs, FOUR runs
four more! Too short from Salamkheil and he pays the price. Stubbs uses the depth of the crease and bisects deep mid wicket and deep square leg!

Waqar to Stubbs, SIX runs
Stubbs is tearing into Salamkheil! Floated up into the slot just outside leg. Stubbs gives himself ample swinging room and launches it over the sightscreen!

Waqar to Stubbs, 1 run
miscued, and put down at deep mid wicket! Slowed up further and bowled slightly shorter just outside leg. Stubbs has a swipe across the line and skews it high up. Carty settles under it at deep mid wicket but grasses it

Narine to Louis, SIX runs
that has gone a long way! Slower and shorter on middle and leg. Louis gives Narine the charge and despite not being to the pitch of the ball, goes through with the stroke. The bottom hand comes off but it does not matter in the grander scheme of things, with the ball flying a mile over long on!

Narine to Louis, 2 runs
and almost gets among the wickets! Darted in on a length on middle and leg. Louis has a slog at it and mistimes it a touch. Carty runs around to his right, dives forward but cannot get there

Narine to Louis, FOUR runs
four more! In the slot outside off. Louis gets his front foot out of the way and blasts it back past the bowler!

Narine to Louis, OUT
Narine gets Louis!

Hinds to Stubbs, OUT
two in two for the Knight Riders! Dug in short outside off and Stubbs' eyes light up. He wants to smash this into the stands and while he absolutely laces it, he cannot generate the elevation he wants. Hits it straight down Roy's throat at deep mid wicket, and the Patriots sink further into trouble!

Narine to Rutherford, OUT
bamboozled, and outta here!Length ball on middle and off that pitches and nips back into Rutherford. Rutherford wanted to smash that into the ocean anyway and lost shape. The ball snuck past his wild swing and thudded into middle stump. Narine doing the job for the Knight Riders again!

Waqar to Drakes, SIX runs
six for Drakes! A tad short outside off and Drakes latches onto it. Opens up his front hip and smears it flat over the wide long on fence!

Waqar to Smith, OUT
gone this time! Dangles the carrot on middle and leg, and Smith bites. Looks to mousse it over long on but does not get the contact he wants. Cloths it badly and offers the simplest of catches to Bravo. Odean Smith's dreadful day is finally over!

Odean Smith c Bravo b Waqar Salamkheil 13 (9b 1x4 1x6) SR: 144.44

four more for John! Plenty of width on offer. John swishes at it with all he has and gets a thick outside edge that flies over short third!

the Knight Riders win, and they do it rather comfortably! Dug into the track on middle and leg. John is hurried into the pull and plonks it towards deep mid wicket. An anti-climactic end to a high-scoring game, but there is no doubt who the better side was tonight!
A fairly convincing victory for last year's finalists. The Knight Riders took the game well beyond the Patriots with the bat, and the hosts could not muster enough of an effort in the second innings. There were brief patches of promise, most notably when Lewis and Louis were blazing away in the powerplay but the dawn of the middle overs and the introduction of Narine, put paid to their hopes of a remarkable run-chase.

Speaking of Narine, he was sensational as usual, going at six runs per over in a game where more than 450 runs were scored. He also bagged a couple of wickets. Salamkheil also did his bit in the middle overs, with Bravo also bowling tidily. Hinds and Edward also gave good accounts of themselves, although the former might want to cut down on the wides he bowls moving forward.

Nicholas Pooran, Player of the Match: It was definitely a good innings. Good pitch, small boundaries, it was important for us to get to that sort of total. St Kitts have a dangerous batting line-up and as we crossed that 200-mark, it was important to get as many more (as possible). As a batter, coming here, it is favourable and all about being clear. Sunil gave us the perfect start. Really happy that Keacy and I got to form a partnership and take it as deep as we did. I have been playing T20 cricket for a long time and have gained a lot of experience. I am growing nicely, understanding who I want to be as a player. Comes with a lot of responsibility and sacrifice. At the end of the day, I want to win matches and tournaments. I want to win the CPL and if I want to do that, I need to keep doing my job.
