Nice recovery and rebuilding by NZ from a middle,order slump

Stumps on day 1. NZ lost 9 wickets and managed to score 315. NZ batters kept getting starts and kept spooning catches to either point or cover. That's what the story of the day has been.

Agreed, he is occupying an important batting slot and clearly, NZ wants him to own the slot. There's been call for Will Young to be in the starting 11 and #4 has now joined #2, #5 and #6 as potential landing places for him.
