ICC needs to step in as this far too blatant. A pitch should not be taking bounce and turn like that from day one. It gives the home team an unfair advantage. Yes i know this been going on for years and England recently suffered the same fate but that don't make it right. ICC needs to manage the curation of pitches.

Less than 3 day test match is not value for money. Egregious fixing of pitches like this should be considered manipulating the outcome of matches.

pak will counter and say they batted on the same pitch and three of their batsmen posted fifties in the match so the pitch was not unplayable its not their fault the opposition batsmen are technically deficient and at least a few of those dismissals were actually poor shots by the wi batsmen

Unless you want all test cricket to be played on those pitches we had for England last series here when everyone and his brother were scoring centuries, then home advantage rules. I actually prefer seeing wickets fall than one man batting all day on a dead pitch.

Well, in the interest of business it is not a good idea to prepare pitches that are so friendly to bowlers, I guess the vendors at the ground and the TV advertisers are not please when a Test match only last three days.

I wish that were the case:

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has been preparing a cricket pitch to assist spinners in the final match and Test series decider against England by using “industrial-sized fans, windbreakers and outdoor heaters” to dry out the surface, reported a leading cricket website on Tuesday.

It quoted Pakistani Captain Shan Masood as saying he would like to see an “uncharacteristic Rawalpindi pitch” for the decider beginning Thursday.

England Head Coach Brendon McCullum predicted that the pitch would be “the antithesis of a green seamer.

Really?

There is no spirit of the game

It’s a bs phrase that the big teams use to their advantage over and over again

Between these 2 small teams let’s leave spirit of the game to what Courtney did all those years ago.

No pitch where 40 wickets are lost from 1,064 balls shud be deemed satisfactory for a Test match

All teams are now fixing pitches to suit their strengths. This is now the norm. We simply cannot follow suit as we have neither bowlers nor batters who can play consistently. Stop stressing or stop following CWI cricket. As I have said many times, the majority of West Indians under 30 don't give a hoot. It is us old geezers in the diaspora who continue to live in the past. And T20 will not save us. Only the superbly gifted will be able to effectively play T20 without first class and test match experience. You must have the basic technique and understanding of any game to be able to play it. At the moment we have one world class T20 player in Pooran. When he retires, that will be the end of that. Do what I do. Go to Youtube and watch old games. I just watched 2 beautiful innings by the great Brian Charles Lara.

On paper Pakistan can beat West Indies on any surface, spin or pace so there was no reason to fix a pitch that was so spin friendly, that is "stooping too low".I think VOR has a point "legal match fixing".

Dude, every man jack is trying to do it right now but it takes some know how. I don't think West Indian curators have that sort of expertise. It's very high science if you know what ah mean ....
